Currently Vijay is the top most actor in south India . He also have an huge over seas fan base . To understand why so much buzz about this movie particularly in north India , guys you gotta checkout director’s previous films namely Kaithi and Vikram . Thanks to Ott which opened gate for Hindi speakers to explore India’s finest film industries (popularity don’t equate to technical excellence and artistic prowess) such as Molly and Kollywood

@RonJacob007 just one blockbuster film won’t make you the legend in the field . It takes years of consistency to earn the crown . Vijay has huge western and south eastern overseas market than UP and Bihar markets which is where you have to draw boundaries between recent stars like Yash . If two flops, he will be back to nowhere . To gain loyal stardom means you have a long term fans base.

@RonJacob007bro please rajini is above all and he has no bahubali,no kgf etc.like that vj don't need a pan Indian movie to be popular,Yash and allu are just new like Yash has only one or two film and u put above him already 😂Allu has a solid fanbase before pushpa and prabhas after bb is miserable don't compare them with Vijay,rajini etc they are leagues above them and if they had proper pan Indian releases like Yash and pb,they had been untouchable

What was Yash and Prabhas before their recent block busters ? But you can’t say the same for Vijay ! He is made after decades of flops , hits , blockbusters and consistent personality on and off the screen . So yes 30 + years in the field and still reigning
