Here's what i'll say, things arent what they were then but leon defo beat them proper. Colby was a shell of his former self and we have to admit that (but im glad leon won), kamaru, leon is genuinely a better figher, kamaru finally found someone who he doesnt have a height and weight advantage over with as crisp technichal striking as Leon and a good enough ground game.

Of course, no one wants to receive a shin on the side of their head... going up against an actual elite striker --- especially one younger than you, bigger and taller and faster than you --- who doesn't make too many mistakes, whose fighting still is so laid back, it is hard to unsettle him.

It's because he's not known for having a tough mind and thick skin. He gets emotional and loses focus during fights. He's not known for aggression. I personally think he worked very well on that after the Diaz fight and the result speaks for itself. No one else has ever beaten Kamaru Usman twice in a row. Leon was the most underrated fighter in the UFC and now the most underrated champ.

@Veritasvincit333 if I recall the stats, Colby was less than 20% strike accuracy with Leon around 45-50... Also he probably got a higher takedown accuracy too given he stuffed so many of Colby's. How is that not domination. The only part of the fight he wasn't dominating were a few exchanges on the ground, and Colby did basically nothing in terms of ground strikes and sub attempts.
