Hi, I’m spreading the Gospel may you be blessed in JESUS CHRIST name *What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS

I ended up finding this channel and following Leon’s journey after forcing myself to take a day off work, recognising my severe emotional burnout stress and overstimulation. It’s incredibly calming and cathartic watching Leon and your other rescuer animals thrive with the care you take for them, and as other comments point out, respecting the audience’s attention span and not assuming there needs to be hyper manic edits every 5 seconds. Thank you so much.

If you've ever had experience with any of the Goldfish species, you know that when they are sick/stressed/unhappy, they turn dark grey to charcoal coloured. When they are healthy and happy, they revert back to their vibrant golden orange hues. The same goes for Leon. Since he has been with you, his bright orange and turquoise colours have emerged and he is active. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that he knows he is safe and that he is definitely happy.

Dear lobster Dad, I am a grown up foster kid facing amazing odds in my own life. I found the story about Leon to be touching because as a child facing abuse, then as an adult with more of the same, I always wanted to save the store and "red lobster" caged lobsters. IF NOTHING ELSE, I wanted SOMEONE, SOMETHING, to have a chance at living the life they deserve. Somewhere deep down, I was wondering how evil people had to be for allowing them to suffer in crowded conditions before eating them alive; hoping whoever shrugged off the high price, bought it, and ate it finding the meal unsatisfactory - a taste of how the lobsters feel every day. To see Leon get a new lease on life, it made my heart smile- his fate wasn't sealed in the matrix of 'eat or be eaten', it was just beginning a chapter of freedom ❤️ proof that if there's hope for him, then there's hope for me too. Thank you for being a gentle person and caring, while caring for all the other animals. I know Jesus loves you, and I want you to know that you're a hero in my book: God given dominion over animals and the earth doesn't mean the power to 'seek, consume and destroy.' it means stewardship, and sustainability 🙌 and you're doing just that. See ya Leon, thanks again lobster Dad!! You rock ✨

It's a nice and relaxing hobby. Go out and get yourself a 10 gallon from Petsmart or Petco. They are pretty cheap. Get some easy fish and just see how you like it. They sell starter kits that come with some substrates, decor, and filter. Gallon of water is 8lbs, so a 10 gallon tank would be 80lbs. So while it may fit in most places, not everything will support the weight. Keep that in mind! Brady mentions the weight of his 125g tank in the second Leon video, something like 1,600lbs I think with all the water, substrate, and coral.

Love your videos. As a gen-Zer, I feel my mind runs a mile a minute all the time from the quick videos that promote a short attention span. It’s a nice change of pace to be watching this series and getting to know you and Leon. I’ve been dealing with deep addiction starting around right before Covid in March 2020-now and it’s been a roller coaster. Seeing you and you’re hobby of taking care of animals reminds me how peaceful life can be when enjoying the little things like interacting with your pets and getting to know their quirks. I always have quick “obsession” interests that last about 2-3 months then I’m on to the next. The thing about being interested in these animals is that they grow along side of you, and last a lot longer than that aha. Idk, something about getting to know them just seems so fascinating. I’ve had a dog before when I was a kid, and now as a young adult and seeing your series, you gave me a new perspective how to appreciate your animals. It seems so minute and simple but just how you communicate your interests really grabbed me. I hope you continue sharing with us. -Celeste

I love that Leon has a cave now. I don’t think he understands that he’s safe in the tank but I think he feels less stressed with his hideout. It’s like caring for a small child. They don’t understand all the effort you put into to making them safe and happy. But you know and that’s the reward. 🥰

Well, we know we’re a bit late, but when you mentioned the bit about trauma we decided to comment this. A couple months ago we were diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, the basic rundown being that is a disorder in which multiple distinct personalities exist within one body, used as a “protective method” from prolonged childhood abuse and trauma. Lately we (the system) have been getting to know each other better, learned how to talk to each other better, and learned the differences between being a system and a singlet (for example when people say “I’m talking to myself” we would think they mean literally talking to themself, whereas we have literal conversations, though most are internal). They’re not just voices in our head, but they aren’t family either, nor are they an extension of anyone. We just have to get along. Honestly, DID is absolutely hell, that’s coming from all of us. It isn’t much better with lots of people thinking that we’re crazy bloodthirsty monsters for whatever reason, we’re just trapped in some body we don’t recognize because we refused to die those years ago. Whatever traumatized us, I’m not sure (Ginseng-Host speaking) but I have a feeling that sadly if was our physical (real world and not dissociative) parents. That all actually felt kinda good to say, thanks for that. Wasn’t expecting that when we decided to binge some vids on a lobster
@skyprior3866
@skyprior3866 Жыл бұрын
You know that's inspiring honestly! If y'all can get through that why can't people get through our lesser problems? And yeah with all the movies and pop culture demonizing people with multiple personalities, they're just people, and more of them which is difficult I imagine. I have a brother and when he won't stop talking its so annoying and being stuck in a car with him for hours is the worst. But my best understanding is you get to be in the car, forever. I bet you don't need me to just tell you what I have gathered incorrectly/correctly, I hope it gets better and you get along. I think if we can all bond together in joy with cute lobster videos there is hope for us all to feel better about ourselves, to get better situations, and to just be, annoyingly that's surprisingly difficult. Anyways sorry for my stupid comment its probably not correct on a lot of things and is a lot of feelings and is a lot of text and sorry to bother y'all have a nice day!

Thank you for encouraging us to share! I love Leon, by the way, and I love that you gave him a second chance since he could've easily ended up on someone's plate. Back in 2020 my husband and I lost our almost 15-year-old long-haired dachshund. Of all the animals we've had, he was the one who was with us the longest. He died from congestive heart failure, and we were devastated! I couldn't stop crying, and I was doing so several times a day. Sometimes you think you're prepared for these things, but you're not. My husband immediately got online and found a no-kill shelter. He looked through all of the cats (since he knew I really wanted one) and found a little three-legged, three year old cat who had been a stray, had a litter (a boy and a girl who'd been adopted together), and found herself with a foster. She only had one appointment for a meet and greet that had been cancelled. Nobody seemed to want an amputee cat. The poor thing had a car run over one of her back legs and has chronic joint problems now. Well, we decided she was perfect, and during our meet and greet she was so sweet and let us hold her like a newborn baby! We've had her for three years now! She's living her best life, and has brought us so much joy! She's definitely in charge of things, but we love her! Only the best for our baby! ❤️

I'm a marine biologist and have been following Leon's story with interest. I've kept lobsters over the years, and I don't think there’s any advice I can give you that you haven't already figured out for yourself. I would have suggested that you add a cleaner wrasse to help Leon clean his hard to reach area but he seemed so freaked out by the killies that it may not work for you. Keep up the good work!

Hey Mark. I have a theory about Leon's reaction to the killies, and maybe you can confirm. I think that the issue was that Leon is territorial but he didn't get a chance to claim the new tank as his own before the killies arrived. Now that he is by himself and grew more comfortable in his surroundings, perhaps now he would be less submissive to any other fish added to the tank.

I’m a nursing student! I work as a server at a restaurant (they don’t serve lobsters!) I have a bunny I got off of craigslist 8 years ago. Ever since getting a rabbit, a lot of things have changed for me. I realized how smarty they actually are. They can be potty trained easily! She follows me around all the time. She loves sunbathing on couch cushions, eating carrot tops and other veggies, and begging me to pet her. She has so much love in her eyes and even trusts me enough to flip over. With all this information I learned more about the world and how items from cosmetics, to dish soaps get tested on animals (like rabbits, mice) to see if they are safe for humans to use. I watched multiple videos on it and decided to only buy cruelty free products for vanity, and for stuff. Even my laundry detergent is cruelty free! Brady, you should be very proud of this video series. You have managed to captivate millions of people's interest, and our hearts. Who would have thought that the story of the rescue of a supermarket lobster could make all of us feel like we are part of Leon's journey. Thank you for allowing us to be part of that journey. I am looking forward to the next chapter in the tale of Leon.

I have no idea how or why I started watching Leon’s journey, except that I always, always feel sorry for them in the tanks waiting to be food. I also don’t know why this video made me tear up. I guess just people being nice to one another & enjoying the simplicity of watching a lobsters life unfold while sharing kind words, it’s just so...refreshing & heartwarming. Thanks for saving Leon & sharing him with the world. ❤️

tbh I think that if one really want to eat lobster, they should already be dead and not kept live like that. That'll just make more suffering for the poor things. Not quite sure how we think keeping a bunch of lobsters live in small spaces till they'll be eaten is okay. Though, I'm aware, that lobsters aren't the only thing we keep alive, sadly

@@nardalis4832 its due to them being dead for a long time before being cooked changes taste alongside other things. Now keeping them in a 1 x 1 tank is straight out just greedyness.

I randomly saw your video when I was watching some documentaries and I said, "I'll see what this about". You had just put out the first video. Ever since then I see a new video about Leon, I know I have to watch it. Kudos on you for scrubbing him up and it was nice to get to know your cats. These videos are a little ray of sunshine in my day. I just got done going through a sudden divorce... Don't feel bad for me, I got my breaking point and left her... but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck. Little things like this give me a smile these days, you've greatly improved my quality of life. For that, I thank you.

Kudos for getting yourself out of a hard situation. I know it must have been a struggle and a really hard decision to make but you did good by settting your boundaries and making sure your needs are taken care of. I obviously don’t know your specific situation but I know it can definitely hurt to break something off. Sometimes it can hurt just as much as If you’re the one who gets dumped. But im proud of you for taking care of yourself. You did good.

@@fifiaXD Thank you. I won't go into to much, but 6 years with an abusive alcoholic, 10k getting her out of a felony DV charge (against me), and just realizing I was dealing with a pathological narssist later, I decided starting over was better than trying to rebuild that situation over and over again. I appreciate your kind words. That said, I'm here to appreciate Leon! Like him, I have my own place now and I really relate with this little guy! I didn't realize lobsters had such habits, but after this I might consider having a pet lobsters someday! They seem fun!

@@benward6017 After reading your description of what you have been trying to deal with.....I think you made the correct diagnosis and because of that, you definitely made the right decision for your life. I went through a hurtful 26 yr marriage till I said enough....I don't even think he hurt at all....that's a narcissist. I was the one who hurt and sometimes still do. Yet when I think of how many years I wasted trying and trying....I can assure you, you made the best decision for your life. A better life is out there waiting for you, and you will find it. It’s interesting and timely to see so many people so invested in Leon’s story. The UK and EU legislation is actively changing right now regarding protection for animals like lobsters, crabs, and octopuses. I think Leon’s story is a great way to show how individual and sentient these animals are, including their likes and dislikes, feelings about their environment, visual difference in attitude when they’re taken care of and healthy, etc. I hope that the US proposes new laws of protection for these beautiful individuals soon as well!

If I had the space and the money I would honestly have a lobster for a pet myself. They fascinate me and I'd love to have one around, I don't know where I would buy a live one easily so I'd probably have to start with a crab and see if I could keep it alive haha Something about feeling sorry for the poor half dead creatures, I've seen live crabs at a store and had to resist the urge to buy one and get it set up in a tank haha It isn't a common thing to do, but its definitely a thing people do think of doing and sometimes manage to pull off ^^
