History:
This AW169 registered D-HHLJ was built in 2019 and is the 4th of its type in the HeliService International GmbH fleet. The helicopter is mainly for offshore operations in the North Sea, including the world's largest offshore wind energy project "Gemini" by Siemens.
The AW169 powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW210A features the customers’ requirements for the transfer of maintenance personnel to and from wind parks in an optimum way thanks to its particular lightweight and specially customized cabin configuration that can accommodate up to ten people. According to the manufacturer, the light, twin-engine helicopter with a weight of up to 4.8 tons offers high performance reserves, modern safety standards and a wide range of possible use in operations. It also includes a hoist from Goodrich capable of lifting 272 kg.
