You are the only one in the world success in escaping OTF hidden blade, some others tried to use gear, but can not make dual extended blade. you should call it perfect hidden blade

its not perfect. a significant leap in engineering, but there are other hurdles ahead in trying to create the functionality of the basic blade mechanism. he is forced to maintain pressure from his finger on this build, which I do not think was an issue on some other builds. that said I think it IS the only remaining hurdle from reaching arguable perfection in creating the real life equivalent to the basic double blade in functionality.

@@scout360pyroz @scout360pyroz follow his facebook, he made another version can hold blade like otf, based on his old one button design. He does not like that version because it not like AC game, just satisfy some customers, so he does not post that version to youtube

@@lequanganhpiano i think that in the games they had both the functionality of the precise control he acheived here (which is most definitely used in game to poison people) AND the tension free locked position based on some of the hand movements, dialogue, etc from the games. Its definitely achievable, just not easy.

This is awesome! This seems kind of similar to how the blade I’ve been designing would work, except mine uses a scissor jack/opening lattice mechanism to extend the blade and a simple retention spring to retract the blade. It won’t look as clean and advanced as yours does, but it’s really simple and effective. I wonder if you could test out that concept one day and see how effective it is compared to yours

You appear to have made some compromises on the design to get to this point (and in the process created a feature for precise control of the blade extension) but your continued innovation and tweaking over the years is incredible and admirable. If you find a way to lock the blade (without forcing the hand to stay flexed) once its fully extended while keeping that precise control over the extension itself and the two part blade... I can only wonder what sort of tweaks and improvements you will look towards after that.

I heard they said you made this pulley design to anti theif. I know other guy always try to copy your design for many years. Hope that he can not copy this time. You have to make patent for this hidden blade to protect it

To be honest he didnt create a lot of new stuff here. Hes a very good engineer but the core mechanics are pretty simple even to recreate. Years ago people have come up with the pulley for having 2 tiers.

It's incredible how assassin's creed fans managed to develop throughout 2009-today at least 6 different mechanisms for hidden blade with various locking systems... every variation having its pros and cons, you could select the best design and consider it begin the OG hidden blade. Pull to open - pull to close, like in this video pull to open, loose to close. And those expand to different mechanism principles and rules of locking... A-MA-ZING

The blade is absolutely stunning, I saw though that not the entire blade went into the cardboard, was that by choice or was it that the housing is too big? If it was the latter, then it would be even more stunning to make the housing smaller and to put in a safety switch like the Valhalla blade. Again, the blade is stunning and keep up the good work💪

What I’m most curious about is would making a full metal version of this blade model be possible? With the pulley extending the second tier of the blade, would the wire that extends the blade be able to withstand the forces of actually being used in combat?

I'm still pissed about how when I ordered a Giovanna and a kenway blade years ago, not only did they take forever in the mail, but also I only received the Giovanni, and it didn't even work. When I confronted him about it, he merely sent a singular replacement part, and parts of the kenway blade. I've tinkered around with it and gotten it to ALMOST work properly. Still angry that I haven't gotten either my 2nd blade or my $90 back for the kenway, and a working replacement for the Giovanni.
