Leo’s answer at the end is funny now, saying Titanic was the most physically challenging film he’d ever do in his life - then along came The Revenant

To be fair, Leo has said in interviews he’s temperature sensitive which I don’t know why his dumb ass thinks movies like ‘titanic’ and ‘the revenant’ were a good idea.

Looks like Leo didn't really want to be there. Apparently he wasn't too proud of it. I'll admit, it was by no means perfect, but I liked it. It has a great look to it, and an absolutely fantastic soundtrack

Trust me, neither was Boyle. It's just not nowhere near as great as the novel. Fox Studios had way too much input. Boyle had originally had Ewan McGregor cast (who he'd work with on Trainspotting and Shallow Grave) and they cast Dicaprio without Boyle's consent, as more of a box office draw. Ironically it bombed. They 're-lanscaped' and screwed the Thaiwanese island habitat during pre production, causing lawsuits from local environmentalists. I mean it was just a big bloody mess.

Samuel L's PJs yeah Boyle’s Gone on record saying that he liked the story but the film was just a case of too much meddling

@@91lifetime23 sorry I'm just seeing this, but KZfaq comment notifications are horrendous.. I really liked the film when I was younger as well, but it really could've been a classic. Have you ever read the book by Alex Garland? He's gone on to get into writing / directing movies and he's done some great stuff. I would welcome a remake with his vision brought to light bc the book is great.

Interesting, yeah that's awesome Logan. Also, I remember the fun part for me was relating the story to the movie when I first got my hold on the book in 2014. About as fun as reading Ready Player One so I could spot the differences in the movie lol
