Absolutely brilliant a good old fashioned soul song

I’m 17. My boyfriend and I trade songs for each other to listen to every week. Most of the time, it’s songs we both already know but this one, I wasn’t aware of. It came out four years ago yet when I first listened to it, it sounded straight out of the 60s. Sounds like Sam Cooke. My boyfriend dedicated this song to me, as well as “Forever Mine” by The O’Jays. Safe to say, we both have very old souls. I miss time periods and eras that I wasn’t even born in. I adore music that takes me back. In this world today, we don’t hear songs like this much anymore. I was the DJ for homecoming in sophomore year. One of the teachers brought her 3 year old twins to the dance.
