While we in America complain about gas or food prices ,what we thought would never happen again is happening. We pray for Serge and those who have not touched us in Ukraine. We also hope that the Russian people stand up to the evil dictator and end this madness.

Yes, this is the craziest group i've ever listened to. These guys are... bad? Bad to the bone! Yes MIke I asked myself, the same question, "how can they be this good?" But then, when you look at the video and see the arrangements and placements of respective musicians and singers. The whole music so smooth and balanced, so soothing sounds and I still believe, these guys well, this group is a real crazy group!!! You just can't help but love them!!!!

Trying to get my head around Russian musicians playing classic American songs from the 70s so superbly, faithfully - and improved to boot, given modern digital recording capability - as they ALWAYS nail the American English vocals. It's uncanny. It's beguiling. This Steely Dan song and the Superstar Carpenters cover where Ksenia Buzina has a voice that is right there comparable to Karen Carpenter, are my two favorite - because of the excellence of the vocals in addition to the excellence of the arrangement and of the instruments playing. Their vocals are always spot on in the songs they cover, but these are my two favs.

As a musician, I have a very high standard for people doing covers of classic songs from the past. But I must say, this cover version was so good and so extraordinary, I had to turn it up, listen to it twice, and ignore my cup of coffee (temporarily - LoL!). This is truly the best cover version of any song by anybody I have ever heard - hands down! The nuance, counterpoints, signature key changes, musicianship, lead and backup vocals, etc., are all spot on! I am truly blown away, and as someone else said below, Maurice White(RIP) must be smiling from above on Leonid & Friends!! Stunning! Just stunning! I will now do a deep dive into Loenid & Friends, to hear more about their story and other covers they have done. Thank you so much, and enjoy! Cheers, Sam.

Yes, David Foster has always said this is the best song he ever wrote, because of all the musical qualities you mention. When he got together with Jay Graydon and Bill Champlin, (who of course played with Chicago for many years) magic was made. With Champlin's and Graydons' lyrics and Foster's music it was bound to be stellar. Ironically Maurice White had nothing to do with this song creatively and yet it was one of EW&F's biggest hits, and remains so to this day.

Igor was hitting those drums like a boss, and everyone left the stage during "I'm a Man" for him to do a 10-minute solo. My recommendation is that you find a city near you where they're playing and go see them.

Some recent American "Country" songs have made a big deal singing about how much better Small Towns are than Big Cities, claiming it's only about community spirit etc. etc. (which is bullshit) In my opinion Leonid and his Friends are TRULY singing about community on a World Wide sense. STUNNED....My dad was a recording engineer back in the 70's - 80's and I got to sit in on E.W.F. recording sessions, and I well remember this song being recorded for their album. I truly cannot believe just how incredible this rendition is.... Brought back some wonderful memories.... Thank you so much....

What amazes me is that this song is perfomed by Russians /Ukrainians who obviously, English isnt their first language. Nevertheless they captured every note, every nuances and the "Feel" of the song ever Faithfully. Excellent indeed !

You should hear Ksenia's version of "Superstar." Karen Carpenter would have been very proud. I heard that Ksenia and Richard Carpenter know each other and that he liked her version of the song. I lost my wife Beth a year ago this past June, and when I hear Ksenia sing "Superstar," I absolutely go to pieces. It makes me realize that we who have lost someone very special how lucky we were to have them and still have them (In a different form from when we knew them) in our lives. Ksenia seems like she is a very nice person as well as a very talented performer. If there is a man in her life, I hope he realizes how blessed he is to have her and cherishes what he has in her.

All I can say as a 68-year-old man who still plays his guitars, who has seen some of the greatest bands from back in the day live, from one end of the spectrum to the other of genres and styles, I'm pretty much left speechless and my heart is in my throat, tears have gathered in my eyes as I sit and watch these masterful artist brain forth and back to life Some of the most technically written music ever produced. This is "one of the greatest songs ever recorded" by one of the greatest bands of all time. Your version of this is so deeply respectful of all the parts, all the harmonies, ALL of it. Sam saw you and Papa D perform the EW &F show with the augmented Mix at Manly beach in 2019. I also spoke to you when leaving Doug's birthday party earlier this year. Would love to see the whole show again when this viral scourge is over. Everything you said is so true, this is just ON POINT. Love the sax solo at the end.

I’ve always said there will NEVER be another band as great as EARTH, WIND, AND FIRE!! what makes this group so damn good is that they did not try to put their own spin on it, but played exactly as the original version (or as close as possible). Paying homage to the great EW&F with this cover, and they nailed it.

They not only nail every cover musically, but they bring all the energy and verve the music requires. None of the tunes they cover are easy, either. Very sophisticated, intricately structured songs. This group never misses.

It doesn't get any better than this. Each section hit ALL of the inflections and sensitive points, with lush perfection. Rarely am I blown away, but this awakened the senses and opened channels. I could go on and on, but I'm looping this one all day!

Leonid has a degree in choral music and arranging. He said in an interview that his parents wanted him to be an engineer, but he was skipping classes to play with local bands. His secret was revealed when one of his professors called, looking for Leonid. He told his parents that their son hadn't attended school in months. Leonid left the university and transferred to a music conservatory instead.
