The Leopard 2 outperformed the latter in terms of mobility, protection and firepower. Its good reputation is internationally recognized.

@@jager894 Junge...ich war Fahrer eines Leopard 2 A2...und nein...der A7V war keine Lösung, er war ein Symptom...mein Grossvater war in einer der Grenadierregimenter, die zuvorderst und als Erste Kontakt mit Mark I Tanks hatten...es dauerte exakt 4 Gefechtsstunden, bis sie, logischerweise, herausfanden, dass ihre 77mm Gefechtskanone Gulasch aus dem Inselaffen-Ungetüm machen kann...sollte ich Dich beleidigt haben, es war keine Absicht...Leid tut es mir nicht...

i as a german hope that this project will fail hard. France acts so arrogant, while they should be happy that they get a grip in the 22 nations german tank export market. they are even so arrogant to demand to produce the cannon of this project while france not even can produce their own cannons. the cannon of literally every tank of the hole western world is produced by rheinmetall including (!) all the french tanks. even the last tank in the west which dont have a german cannon, the challenger will get as the challenger 3, which, of course.., is also build by germanyxd, a german cannon. if this project fails, france can beg to be allowed to buy german tanks. they are not even able anymore to build their old crap euphemistically called tank, the leclerq. i hope that kmw will get freed and the holding with nexter be terminated. this arrogant people didnt participated in the eurofighter project and made their own, so now build your own tank for gods sake and dont steal german engineering
