Sorry, depuis que les blancs sont partis, c'est devenu une gigantesque poubelle à ciel ouvert et tous les bâtiments non entretenus sont en ruines ou squattés ! Prostitution, corruption généralisée, école de 3ème zone, routes défoncées ... etc. Ils ont voulu l'indépendance le 30/06/60, voilà ce qu'ils ont fait de ce si beau pays !!!

Interesting to see what Leopoldville looked like. My parents and i lived there from 1958 to 1960...

This video is not political nor is it intended to glorify or blame anything or anybody. It is simply a few nice old pictures because I lived there for some years. For all who feel that today's Kinshasa is neglected, please watch "Kinshasa Impressions" which I have made as well. Thanks!

The film shows what was before the fight for independence . The destruction was devastating .

We unhesitantingly owe the big fault to Mobutu Sese Seko who had led a 32 year presidential vagrancy. He didn't pay a thoughtful heed to how improve the country politically, economically as well as socially.

Say it as it is: Mobutu was the poisonous fruit of imperial corruption of Congo's destiny brought by the cursed assassination of Lumumba. History cant be manipulated.

Comment? Il à fait travailler des centaines de.milliers de personnes dans des conditions inhumaines j'usque la rétrocession en 1906 du Congo à la Belgique ! ( ce territoire lui appartenait personnellement )
