One of my top 3 bands. Awesome live band! You need to listen to more from them to get a real feel for the band. This is one of their softer songs, they can go pretty heavy.

I've never heard of them but I really loved the songwriting and the build in this one. I'm a HUGE fan of heavy so I will definitely be checking out more!!!

Info: Leprous isn't a spiritual band at all, though this song specifically is about death, and wondering if there's _some_ sort of afterlife, or if we'll be left adrift -- as "castaway angels."

I honestly wasn’t sure if the it was the songs tone or the band itself. The theme had a real spiritual feel to it and I thought I might have been hoodwinked in to a Christian Rock song. To be fair, so many metal bands deal with those same topics but not from a religious angle. Regardless, this song left me quite intrigued and I’ve listened to it a few more times since and love it even more!

@@ReactionsThatRock They touch on a lot of themes that is more about mental health than spirituality. About the darkness of being human. WIthout it being evilness.

Def not a Christain band. They're a Prog Metal/Rock band from Norway. Check out Slave(Live), Rewind and Nightime Disguise

Yeah... I didn't pick up the metal sound yet as the song built itself piece by piece over time. I think you and I both know that metal often has some overtly Christian themes even if they're taking from the dark side of it. I'll be sure to check out more as I really enjoyed this! Thanks for the recommendations!

if anything, they would be the opposite, they are basically the backing band for Ihsahn, who was the front man of Emperor (NO) :D

Its is more like a depression therapy. The singer very often write songs about it.

Not trying to throw shade on anyone, but have you ever seen or heard a christian rock band with skill even remotely compared to this. It is hard to find any band with this level of skill.

I have actually. There are some amazingly talented Christian bands… but they’re always overshadowed by such cheesy lyrics.

@@ReactionsThatRock if you are into vocal performance i would suggest Aquired Taste, for more Rocky suggestions i think there has been some good ones elsewhere in the comments. Enjoy Edit: the live version from Rockefeller 2016. Always the live version from Rockefeller if it is an option. That concert was something else
