As a Mariner fan living in Seattle who saw the Expos in Montreal a few times from 1994-1997, I really enjoyed this

The 1994 baseball strike killed baseball in Montreal. That team had world series caliber players. The team appeared to disband of the team in 1995. Nit getting a new stadium also hurt. I think the next time MLB expand, Montreal and Charlotte should get teams

This documentary is superb from top to bottom - the imagery of the games and the players, the lines scripted for Donald Sutherland..."legends are made by doing the right thing in the right place at the right time." If you look carefully you can find gems like Steve Rogers enticing Rick Monday to ground out to the pitcher's mound in 1973 or Gene Mauch playing golf with Jim Fanning. They will forever be "les Expos, nos amours."

I waited seven years for this video showing Donald Sutherland to return! On Saturday night, I just booked reservations to be in Montreal in June--thank you/merci!

This is just superb and an example of real sports journalism. Informative - detailed - and affectionately delivered by Donald Sutherland and all who contributed. To ESPN - shut up; sit down and take notes! This is how it's done right. Thank You for posting this

Watching this (as well as part two - which focuses on the Olympic Stadium years) is wonderful, poignant, special and so much more. I lived in St. Lambert (a suburb of Montreal - located on the South Shore directly opposite the downtown area) during those early years of the Expos and spent many nights at Jarry Park - as well as at the Big O when they moved there as of 1977. I miss the Expos, and pray with all my heart that someday Nos Amours will return to Montreal. Thanks for sharing both videos, all about the first 20 years of the team. Enjoy!!

I’m grateful that because of the Montreal Expos, we have our Washington Nationals. I’m sad that Montreal had to lose their team for DC to get one. I hope MLB finds a home again in Montreal in the future.

The Montreal Expos first home would have been the 25,000 seat Autostade, but because the city wanted a roof over the facility and there wasn't enough time to convert it into a baseball park.

Rusty returned for the last part of the 1979 season. The ovation he received his first at bat that year rivals the famous Maurice Rchard ovation.

I cannot believe there was no mention, let alone VIDEO, of Rusty Staub's incredible game-winning grand slam homer on Bastille Day in Montreal (not sure of which year). Not even a MENTION of it? Makes no sense. Also no mention or video of the wonderful 5-minute standing ovation Staub received upon his return to Les Expos in '79.

Please ease support the expos. At least 10 million people would support them. Even the Jays would support them. It’s not even a cultural or emotional thing, it’s a natural thing with the USA and Canada. It is actually a disaster that Montréal doesn’t have a team

When the Montreal Expos did a better job of presenting their history than the Yankees, it shows how bad MLB does things.

25:15 A heck of a day, but Rustys' 4 dingers did not tie a DH record. Musial hit 5 in '54 , tied by Colbert in '72
