Nashville TN has lost one of the best Guitar Luthier’s!
My Friend Kelton Swade has passed away. I was the first guitarshop - primeguitars.ch - to import Kelton Swade guitars to Europe.
After getting the first 3 guitars (2 Strats / 1 Tele) they were sold within 3 days!
His guitars are simpy fantastic and his craftsmanship was phenomenal.
RIP brother, your guitars will keep you alive.

Man, you're killing it! Great playing and tone! I've owned quite a few different highend guitars over the last couple of years but always end up grabbing one of my Teles. These Guitars can do everything and seem to do the trick for me. A good Tele just does it all. Thanks for sharing this nice video!

If I had to choose then definitely the Les Paul. I have Standard and Studio models but actually my favourite guitar is my more basic Les Paul Junior with it's single P90.

Had many guitars and keep coming back to the les Paul and strat . Can't get on with es335's but looking for a decent tele at the minute. Great demo. Makes the 335 sound better than I can !

Two years late but It reinforces what Keith Richards said. You can make them all sound the same. If you’re not watching the video you can’t tell when he switched guitars. Maybe the strat.

As expected they all sound good. I have played for a few decades, mostly on a 335 simply because I love the ergonomics of playing that intstrument, although I own a Strat, I have never really liked how it plays. I do however appreciate the sound of that instrument in capable hands. I just recently got a Les Paul and was genuinely surprised with how it complements the 335 towards the "bassy" direction and especially the "growling" noise it produces at a certain gain levels. The 335 never gets that "violent" in the tone. I am getting curious about the Tele, since I am not that excited with the Strat sound I have been hesitating to try it. I do have a vintage Gibson L6-S deluxe (which regrettably does not have the 6 way switch, only the 3 way Deluxe config). Long story short, that instrument is very 335-ish on the neck pickup but Strat-clanging on the bridge pickup and nothing in between. I need to dive deeper into the Tele rabbit hole! Great video and great playing. Thanks!

@@TomMarcozzi As you correctly stated, the guitars you compared are the "big four". I wonder what would be the "fifth Beatle" so to speak? Possibly one of the more notable superstrats or would it be an Epiphone Casino, sporting the P90 pickups and a fully floating top? What is your opinion? Someone mentioned SG in the comments

@newtonlkh More SG's are in Studios than 335's, more SG's have been sold on a whole than Les Paul's, Teles or 335s. The SG is in the big 4 long before the 335 is.

The strat is just so much more versatile to play all types of music but they are all great the lp more of a rock sound on trick pony the strat can do everything the others can do IMO the strat hands down

@TomMarcozzi It's not a necessity as you have an LP but you only live once, so I hope you get your hands on a beauty of an SG, they make you play differently and have more edge than a LP, the SG is more of a must than an explorer or a V imho.
