The Larry Mondello Band played some of the instruments when they toured the US, the encounter occurred at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT circa 1980. Fascinated by them ever since.

Apparently one of the early producers of Dr Who, Verity Lambert, wanted these to produce the Dr Who theme. In a way im glad the Radiophonic workshop won but it is an intriguing thought...

it certainly is. I bet the theme would sound way cool played on their crystal thing. at least they had a tune used on picture box.

j'ai habité les 25 premières années de ma vie au 11 rue jean de beauvais, paris 5ème dans l'immeuble où ils avaient leur atelier au rez-de-chaussé; j'avais l'habitude de leur rendre visite pour frotter les tiges en verre;
