Laurent: So Larry, Laurent nice to meet you. Les Twins, Criminalz. Criminalz is our crew. Les twins: it is me and my twin, of course. I started dance at 5 years old because in my family everybody dance. I have eighteen brothers and sisters; for real nine brothers and sisters and just my mom.
So I started dance at 5 years old and I really found my own style at age 9.
Because I saw people dance and I didn't feel them.
I dance like my sister. I have one sister, She doesn't dance. She stands up in a room and go crazy like that. And I love that. When I dance, I dance like her. Like a cartoon too.
He's my favorite cartoon. Like Tiny Toon (French cartoon). It's him.
Where did you have your first battle dance?
The first battle dance was in Paris. No, in Sarcelles. It's where I come from, it's like Detroit
or Brooklyn
It's not really Paris but it is close, it's the same.
It was there in my city everybody would try to beat me in dance.
because I was little, like this, a big afro, cute...
And I danced like nobody, so guys would confront me and battle me.
Because all the girls were saying "aww, the twins are so good", "oh my god".
The girls are trouble for boys.
I am sorry, excuse me. My first battle started like that. One day boys came after me when school finished. And started to say " Dance against me right now". The guy was tall like this, I was in middle school with my big sister.
I was.... nine years old....
Larry: ten
Laurent: It is the same.
So I was ten years old and the guy was seventeen. He would battle me.
So he danced and I danced too and after that...
Oh my god! What happened is that a wave of jealousy came. Everybody was hating then. Jealousy everywhere.
And not only in Sarcelles.
What is your best dance moment in your life?
Larry: So we are champion of the world since one month already it's called the Juste Debout 2011 it was the biggest Juste Debout ever. It was from the United States to Japan. It's the equivalent of the Olympics for hip hop.
It was amazing and I think we were the only one, as many people said as Bruce (Ykanji), to have win the battle in Japan and the final battle in Bercy (Paris). We won over 353 dancers.
It is enjoyable.
After that you feel good.

They are adorable aren't they.......And Turkish men do that too.......... i think some cultures men are far more affectionate in general...and towards other peoples children too...more than USA and UK men for example.

That is what happens when your learning a language,,you can understand more before you can actually speak it. Now Larry speaks pretty well enough.....i always love their accent when they speak english,,i do hope they do not loose it ..and get a yakky sort American accent..lol

@@toidean633 That's profound, in so many ways, my friend. They've obviously never tried to "become" like anyone, which allows them to "be" themselves.This, is what makes them stand out, and have their own identity. They don't dance like anyone- they dance like "The Les Twins". Remarkable!!!

they have 3 more brothers and 3 sisters all of which dance (their mom dances too, and 1 sister who doesn’t dance) . They said that it was just natural because they grew up in an environment surrounding dance. Lau said they were dancing before they were even walking. But they are the only 2 who do hip-hop or their version of hip hop, all the others do cultural dances or even ballet they mentioned once. So they got their styles and learned by mixing all their siblings styles (Larry) and lau got his style by copying his sister who doesn’t dance (the sort of wild do anything you want style). they do have coaches who guide them too (playmo and abibu) but they wouldn’t say they taught them to dance, they just helped them develop what was already there. I think they never learned to dance because dance was apart of them before anything, they always could dance and always had the talent it just took years to hone it into “les twins style” they use today.

ik its old but they never said he died. He said "he's gone" which doesnt necessarily mean he died, but if he did i think they were laughing about the way Lau said it

Because their dad isn’t really dead, I think it’s just an inside joke that they have where they talk about him like he’s dead. Sort of like he’s “dead” to them

I know it’s a soar spot for them to talk about their dad. I heard they don’t like him. Ten years now and I haven’t heard another word about him. Sad thing for them to have to live with. Their mom is a jewel💎💎💎💎💎💎💎👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
