Daan892 Yes, It takes about 15-20 years to become a scholar of Islam. Children start with memorization of Quran. After that they start with Arabic grammar then classical Arabic. and study lot of other things of Arabic language. While studying Arabic they also learn lot of thing about Islam parallely. After mastering Arabic language they again start studying Quran and Hadith in Arabic and in their own language (here in India mostly Urdu). They also study many other fields like fiqh, logic,science of hadith, history, tradition and many more. And I think same goes for most parts of world. So scholar do have knowledge but people just don't ask them. There is a gap between scholars and common man nowadays. Btw there are many scholars in my own family.

Mystery befits Him, because you need to earn it to receive knowledge. - Linguistically it's no less than a masterpiece of the highest order, with every single word present with even it's own individual purpose. Forget words, even the single letters themselves. Ordered in a fashion that is Godlike. No human would be able to make something close to it and maintain an alibi with all the people of a whole country to be able to say "I got it from our maker". Read the Quran with your own doubts whether it can really be from your own description of your God, and do some research in what Muslims say about those so called hate verses.
