It was such a wonderful movie. Lesley is correct, that going to the movie theater to shut the world away and immerse yourself in the movie. I think I was smiling thru the whole movie, because it was so wonderful to see such beautiful clothes, but also the wonderful story. I have since bought the movie and watched it several times

I loved this movie! It was such a sweet movie with no real villains, no cursing, no violence. Just lovely characters and Amazing costumes where everything turns out right in the end. It reminded me of an Australian film called Ladies in Black.

I like that the interviewer talks about the cinematographer and costume designer as importantly as the actors.

Can’t wait for it to be released in the UK. Great to see the superb Lesley Manville in a starring role. Christian Dior rose to prominence in the UK when the late Princess Margaret wore one of his gowns for her 21st birthday in 1951. Groundbreaking at the time.

Ada Harris represents the 1950s just by being a person who Truly Cares about others, a lady that is Equiped to handle almost anything. Her character glows with the Love and Peace of the Post-war years as l can recall from my own youth then. And because she is so giving you can't help but hope for her and relate to her. She is inspiring to almost every character in the movie. A delightful movie!!! So much needed in these times Especially here in the United States! 10 Star rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🇺🇸🌹🇲🇫🇺🇸🌹🇲🇫🇺🇸🌹🇲🇫🌹🇺🇸😃🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

One of the most beautiful movies I watched in recent years. I was so wrapped up with the story of Ada, it was also beautifully filmed with top talent. I don't remember the last time I was able to get lost in a story line the way I did with this movie. Every second was worth my attention.

I loved the flick,...I just didn't get what the "goth" chick was doin' there. At first, I thought, maybe she's evoking a beatnik-type style,...but I don't know. She seemed really out of place to me.

She was! I waited for her to have a fabulously barbed line ....something aimed at her dreadful mother. But no use was made of such a potentially interesting character. I wonder if her role was cut.
