I got some heat from alo of folks for sharing my honest opinion on the S&W FPC. I felt the execution of the FPC lacked in a couple of areas. I also said i felt that Smith and Wesson would revist the FPC and make some changes.

I have the FPC and I really like it. I shot this one and there was no difference in accuracy. I can't tell which one I prefer...honestly! Good video!

Thank you for the review. I'll take the Ruger PC Carbine with the Chassis. I don't mind some plastic....on handguns.....but rifle's....not for me. I had a Beretta ARX160....did not inspire confidence. Great review, thank you again for the heads up.

I would've said less foldy, more moldy. Because it's molded plastic 😃 I'll see myself out.

Looks like SW is entering the realm of keltec in terms of build and market share. Thats not a bad thing, however, since all the keltecs I have had worked great. Dont be afraid of polymer unless you are going to use your carbine as a crow bar. When built correctly they last.

I have a JP GMR13 AR9, and installing the Maxim Defense Roller Delayed Buffer was hugely beneficial for the recoil impulse. Hydraulic buffers also definitely help.

I f you do a follow up video would you please comment on the type of bullets it prefers IF it has none please state. With the exception of the Ruger PC9, CX4 Storm and CZ Scorpian, I find guns produced from smaller companies eg Freedom Ordnance and Lockhart Raven tend to favour RN bullets only. Secondly a comment on reliability would be appreciated. For competitors reliability and accuracy are musts for a purchase of a PCC. BTW this was an excellent review I like your style which reflects objectivity and thoroughness. Thanks

Pro mag makes a 32 round magazine that fits into the M&P pistols. I have the response and tested it and it fits right in. Reliability of the magazine will be another test. Can’t wait to try it out next time I’m at the range.

@@rdrgear I got it because I was looking for a PCC similar to the Sig MPX 16” but MUCH more cheaper. Nothing wrong with either, everyone has their preferences. I like the FPC because it’s compact for traveling, but I can understand it’s not for everyone. Happy you at least found something you like and hope you have more for your 401G plan 😉

@@jimb788 they do, I put 500 rounds down range with it and it only malfunctioned once with the pro mag 32 round. After that it shot all 5-6 times using the pro mag with no malfunction. I even did a mag dump and got all 32 rounds out in 6-8 seconds

@@Fight4freedom. not sure if I’d rather have it in 10mm or 5.7. If they do 5.7 I’d like it more compact around 10.1-10.3 inches versus 16 which 5.7 is optimized at like the P90 it was designed in

@@Fight4freedom. it makes me smile just thinking about it brother haha . Ruger almost did a real nice job on theirs. It’s just a little blocky and I’ve heard the trigger isn’t great . But it’s not bad. I’d rather have a SW though. I’ve really fallen in love with Smith and Wesson products . They’ve replaced my Glocks as my goto firearms , they also offer a lot more variety of different weapon systems

Lots of firearms are polymer these days and they don't seem to have a problem.
@rdrgear6 ай бұрын
This is a rifle, Pistol Caliber Carbine, it could benefit from a little more weight.
@pyromedichd16 ай бұрын
@@rdrgear I disagree. Added weight is helpful to control recoil but 9MM isn't much of a powerhouse in a Carbine. The US M1 Carbine, used in WW II and Vietnam, weighed about the same as the Response but chambered the more powerful .30 Carbine round. However, if you find it too, light there are plenty of options to beef it up, lights, slings, optics all add weight.
@rdrgear6 ай бұрын
@@pyromedichd1 you obviously have not actually shot the response.
@pyromedichd16 ай бұрын
@@rdrgear No, I just got it and it's been too wet and cold, however I haven't seen one comment, other than yours, complaining about lack of weight. Perhaps you are recoil sensitive. I don't think it'll be a problem for me, my Winchester Defender shotgun isn't a problem and it's only 6.7 pounds. My M1 Carbine also doesn't trouble me.

@@pyromedichd1 no I just perfer properly weighted and much higher quality pcc's than this. It's solid for those who can't afford higher priced better quality 9mm carbines.
@bmwestmoreland6 ай бұрын
I can’t for the life of me figure out why you would want pcc to insert the mag foreward of your handle. That why the FPC is a better idea than this. The ergos and the materials should be better but the fpc is a great idea. I just don’t these pcc’s trying to be AR’s.

It is, but I can say this. This is the Cylee Bear. I have had it for 8 months now. I think they retail for like 225. I have it on a mid brightness setting. Zero issues with battery or zero. For a quarter of the cost of a P1 or P2. For those who want access to an Acro style dot but don't want to break the bank. I agree with the buy American.
