cameron, you are better than most instructors. They go so fast that I can not follow their information. Tos is giving too many unuseful gadgets. Sometimes simple is the best.

I am really looking forward to watching this series. I suggest you add a preamble to the affect that some users will have to request accounts be enabled before they can download in some cases or see some of the features discussed in the video (somehow I got the download to work before approval). I have to wait until tomorrow it seems to finish the video.

Cameron, noticed a new?, different? feature on this webcast which I don't believe was in TOS previously. You expanded & enlarged sections of the chart and pulled them forward. Is this a new feature which will be incorporated into TOS from the combining & available to us....or just an instructor specific feature?

Is Paper Money on a different version of ToS? The TD Ameritrade ToS, Live Trading and Paper Money were switchable. Is that the case for Schwab ToS?

You advise downloading to the desktop. Is thinkorswing in an MAC version?

Okay. I learned how to buy a stock on TOS. But, can you buy-write…sell a covered call at the same time like in the Schwab platform.

Absolutely! There are several ways to do this, but here's one example process: "Trade" tab > Click "Spread: Single" and select "Covered Stock" (a thinkorswim term for Buy-Write or Covered Call) > click the Ask price next to the call option one would like to include as part of their intended Buy-Write. This will create an order to enter into a Buy-Write. Now, one would just need to customize their order for number of shares/contracts, order type (Limit/Market), etc. But that's it! I'll do a webcast dedicated to placing options orders soon, but in the meantime, I hope this helps, and thanks for watching! ^CM

I am on a Macbook Air laptop and Schwab will not allow me to login even though I have an old account from years ago and have not used it nor do I have a balance or funds in the account. The guy on the phone from Support asked me to use Chrome which I do not use and prefer not to.

Hello, I would like to add another simulated margin account, like some coaches have, beyond just the two margin & ira accounts. where can I add that ? 9:10

I am not aware of a process to add more practice accounts to the default Margin and IRA accounts that are provided for each Schwab login. That said, it might be worth a quick call to Support at 800-435-4000 to confirm. Thanks for watching! ^CM

@@tradertalkswebcasts Thank you. Was watching Barbara's video where she has many practice accounts. Support later said it was only set up for the coaches. I was just thinking of housekeeping a variety of practice trades from different margin "buckets", one might be a long on XYZ, another a short on XYZ. /watch?v=NeGS4CXFdJA&t=1590s

Thank you. This encourages me to download Sink or Swim to explore and use the analytical tools. If I find that I prefer the simpler sign-into-Schwab platform, can I go back to that?

In brief, it might be easiest to think of web as a streamlined/slimmed-down version of the software. But both are great, of course! ^CM

Cameron, I have been watching several videos to learn the ins and outs but there are either updates or most of the trainings are on the downloaded version. There seems to be a good amount of difference between the screens that I see in the trainings and what I see when I try to work with the screens that I do have.

Happy to help! First, please make sure you're using the software version of thinkorswim, and not the web-based version. The software can be downloaded from inside your schwab.com account under the "Trade" tab. If you're still not seeing the thinkorswim Education tab, you may need to call Support at 800-435-9050. ^CM

In the old Schwab I could see my positions and orders on my charts. How can I get my positions and orders to show up on my charts in TOS

To show orders on your chart, click the Gear icon at the top of the chart, then make sure "Show orders" is checked on the General tab. Hope this helps! ^CM

My app looks nothing like yours! Mine is black and does not have the headings or layout like yours.

I suspect you may be using thinkorswim Web. This demonstration was delivered using the thinkorswim Desktop software. As for the black color scheme, this is just a preference setting that can be changed via this path: "Settings" icon (gear icon) in upper right > Application settings > Look and feel > Light. Happy to clarify! But first, I'll need a bit more information: What exactly looks like it has changed? The platform hasn't undergone any significant redesign since the release of this video, so it's very likely one of your settings is just different from mine. I'm afraid that's accurate. Due to U.S. federal laws and regulations, Schwab cannot accept applications from residents of your country/region. But in any event, I hope you still find the broader trading and investing concepts I review in my webcasts helpful. Thanks for watching! ^CM
