This is the concluding episode of the trio "Introduction to Raga". It is quite difficult to express Raga in words. Obviously there are definitions, but the true essence of Raga lies in its emotion, its feeling and the communication with the nature and human mind in a language of supreme beauty- which is Music. To describe "Raga" in our classical music, we find it says-
"The Raga is, as the wise declare,
the sequence of musical notes
and the play of sound
which delights the hearts of men."
A Raga is a piece of light, a piece of morning or evening or a deep silence of midnight's dream! Its something like poetry, something like more than poetry! Its a magic!
We covered this topic in three consecutive lessons, this is the third part of the discussion. In these lessons, we have not started the technique of playing Raga, but there is an introduction to Raga, the basic features are explained. So, we expect that our learners will enjoy these lessons with patience, they will hear some beautiful music played by our Guruji Murtaza Kabir Murad on his magic flute and will get prepared to enter the wonderful world of Raga.
