Lesson 6: How to practice Sargam in rhythm with Flute/Bansuri

In this Lesson, we introduce rhythm with Tabla. Its very important for students to practice different types of Sargam with different rhythm. First we show a sargam with 4-4 beat like -- Sa Re Sa Re । Sa Re Sa - । Re Ga Re Ga । Re Ga Re - । Ga Ma Ga Ma । Ga Ma Ga - । ..... and so on.
Another helpful Sargam is shown like-- Sa - Ga - । Re - Ma - । Ga - Pa - । Ma - Dha - । .... and so on.
Please practice these sargams regularly, it will be a great help for sure.
Keep Playing and Keep Practicing! And the main point is 'Enjoy!'

to make the ma pa transition easier my observation is : lift only index and middle fingers in right hand when switching to ma from pa. check 3:40-3:45 would appreciate any comments.

Bonjour, je suis vos leçons avec beaucoup d’attention. Je ne parle pas du tout Anglais et n’ai jamais joué d’instruments de musique. Because he has E or G scale flute you may have C scale and yeah sound will develop over time 🙂👍🏻

You're doing a great job and it's really helpful. Please don't stop ! One doubt, could you please enlighten me, how to use the taalmaala application on mobile. Which Taal to put and all for the same 4-4 beat on the tabla. I'm utterly confused in the same!

You can choose Trital or kaharba from there, mute other supporting music like tanpura, harmonium, select a suitable tempo (at first slow tempo). There is also an apps 'rhythm free' whose function is a bit easier. If you need further help, u may contact us in our facebook page. we are sorry for the late reply. It is normal at beginning. how long r u playing flute? make sure there is no leakage.

I have been playing since june last year. This has been a recurring problem. I don't think there is any leakage. Sometimes the notes are very clear, sometimes very husky
