I’m sad that Anne rice died before seeing this. Lestat was like her book baby and I heard she wasn’t happy with Tom cruise playing him in the movie, but my goodness I’m sure she would have adored Sam Reid as him ❤ this IS Lestat!

5:00 that detail in lestats pupils was pretty horrifying, started off small like beads and grew larger with his anger, small levels of details like that make for great cinema

I always saw him as the deadbeat husband who is in over his head with his overbearing wife (Lestat). I'm sorry, but no husband would EVER say to their wife “if my considerable considerables continue to be squandered…” Like, bro, that’s like Frozone’s wife saying “Greater good? I am your wife. I'm the greatest good you are ever gonna get!” 😂 So yeah, Louis’s the husband who's in over his head, Lestat is the wife who is yearning for attention from his husband and despises their daughter for soaking up all of the husband’s attention despite being the one who baby-trapped Louis in the first place. 😂

It’s missing some parts like where “Lestat gets made at Louis for killing the guy who peed on the corner of the house, saying “fuck u too” in French. Going too the coffin saying “ I don’t like going to sleep angry”. “If he disrespected you, I would’ve killed him too’. “ How could I make it up too you? How could I ever say No to you?”

@@ocky88 except for the complete reworking of one of the main characters. This is like hiring a 400 lb guy to play Superman and then changing his home planet to Draculon. It doesn't matter how much in common the story is, because the main character is been radically changed.
