Well, using your experiences has certainly stood you in good stead as a preacher; as application, they make the Scripture on which you’re expounding so much more relatable. As an educator (for over 20 years) who’s only recently come to Christ for a fraction of that time, years ago, I had to repent and ask The Holy Spirit to show me Christ in my students. Sometimes the same little “undesirable” or “unconventional” traits that we try to “correct” in them, are qualities which had been programmed into them from before the foundation of the world. When these little people are converted, these qualities will work wonders in the Kingdom, as they go about doing the Master’s Will.

Amen, Amen I agree, I agree God does has a plan, sometimes like Joseph it seems like we are going round the houses to get there but that is only the process to get to where we will be of greatest influence or help to others but His plan is always the right and best plan.... we just have to stick with it...
