The movie 'Let it Shine' follows an aspiring rapper called Cyrus, who hides his love for rap from his family. His childhood crush, Roxie (a big popstar) mentioned that her music label is sponsoring a songwriting competition. Cyrus and his friend, Kris both entered the competition, with Cyrus entering a heartfelt song under the stage name 'Truth'. His song won the competition, but to his dismay, his song is mistakenly attributed to Kris.
