disappointment

Thanks for the comment (you can probably tell I’m a DnD and BG newbie), lmao 😂 Any suggestions for spells as a Druid? I find managing spells pretty overwhelming since I typically play tanky/melee characters!

@@prettyokatgamesI haven't watched your newest vid so idk if you discovered this already, but here you go: On top of your hotbar there are several icons, the circle is your actions, the triangle are your bonus actions, and in the far left are your cantrips, that is magic that costs nothing to cast The cantrip shilelaugh boosts your quarterstaff, its useful when you wanna go melee/are out of spellslots Produce flame creates a flame with an action and I think you can throw it with a bonus action (not sure, might wanna check it). Its kinda ok, but you are wasting your entire turn just for that There's big list of spells the druid can use, from that list you need to choose your prepared spells (I think for you they might be 6/7). I believe that druids can change their spells when they are out of combat, check your spellbook in your character details. Create/destroy wanter is good only in certain situations Animal friendship is only good when a beast is hostile towards you, otherwise is useless. Speak with animals is great bc if you cast it out of combat it costs nothing. Healing word is better than cure wounds (even if it heals less), bc its ranged and its a bonus action, which means that you can do that and attack/cast a spell in the same turn. 2 good AoE damage spells are ice knife (ranged) and thunderwave (close), pick whatever you want When you reached lvl 2 you were supposed to choose your subclass. The thing is this game autoselects your subclass for you (bad design tbh) and you didn't notice it so you went with your autoselect. There's an npc that might let you reroll that

They are magic that do not cost anything to cast. The cantrip shileleaugh buffs your staff for your next attack, it's pretty good if you are going melee/have no spells to cast Produce flame creates a flame with an action and then allows you to throw it with a bonus action (I think it is, might want to read that) Druids have a lot of spells to their disposition, but in order to cast them you need to choose some of them as your prepared spells (I think for you the max number is 6/7). I believe Druids can change prepared spells when they are out of combat, you just have to look at your spellbook in character details. Create/destroy water is really situational, so you might wanna switch that. The same with animal friendship, it's only useful if you are fighting against an animal, but it does nothing if the creature is neutral towards you. Skeap with animals is great becaus if you cast it outside of combat it costs nothing Healing word is better than cure wounds (even if it heals less) because: 1)It's ranged so you don't need to get close to them, 2) It's a bonus action so you could do that and then attack/cast spells Some good damage AoE spells so have are ice knife (rangged) and thunderwave (close) When you reached level 2 you were supposed to choose your subclass, but the problem is that this game autoselects one for you (bad design tbh) and unless you realizee it you go with the autoselevted class. Read about it in your character details page and see if you like it, if you don't there's an NPC that might help you later (The same one that can change your class) Wild shape does not use your spell slots but instead uses wild shape charges. You can see how many of those you have on top of your hotbar (the green paw with a number on it), they come back in a short rest Let me know if you have other doubts!

I've recorded like 4 more episodes of videos so you probably won't see me change up my spells til like episode 6, but will definitely change up my subclass with Withers. Thinking I might change to the Circle of Moon cuz turning into animals is cool. We're not the best at BG3 so it's a bit frustrating to watch lol (even me personally looking back rn) 🤣 Thanks for taking the time to write this up - super appreciated!

@@prettyokatgames Ill try to bear the frustration 😆 If you reached lvl 5 you should have the spell moon beam, its pretty good Circle of the moon allows you to change as a bonus action
