I am concerned about the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa and believe it requires more attention. In my opinion, I think that citizenship obtained through naturalization and citizenship gained through marriage should be revoked. Furthermore, passports or IDs obtained fraudulently should be invalidated, and illegal immigrants should be given a six-month period to rectify their status before facing harsher penalties. I understand that these views may be unpopular, but I believe that these changes are necessary to address the challenges faced by South Africans due to non-citizens. Some of the problems include misuse of South African passports by individuals from Central, West Africa, and Asia seeking asylum in other countries, as well as money laundering activities in spaza shops leading to loss of millions. I am also concerned about the behavior of foreign nationals, particularly those from Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nigeria, who can sometimes display arrogance. I understand that circumstances change, but I feel strongly about protecting the interests of South Africans in their own country. When things get tough in South Africa, you have the luxury of returning to your native countries or moving to the next country. Unfortunately, I only have South Africa, so if it is destroyed, what will happen to me? Consider this before labeling me as xenophobic.
