Oh guys… I struggled with this one.. but hopefully persevered in the end.
Hello there colorists! Remember this book, Fantomorphia by Kerby Rosanes, that I showed you last week? Well I thought it would be fun to do that “This Book Belongs To” page that made a specific comment about. I just really like it! It reminds me of the finale scene in Sleeping Beauty where Maleficient surrounds herself and the castle with briar thorns.. it even has the raven up in the corner there! Plus, I have a really clear picture in my head in terms of color palette on this one, which hardly ever happens - usually I have to force myself to know what each portion is going to be, but this one was super clear from the start

Beautiful picture! Thank you for opening up & allowing your followers to see the mistakes & struggles that you have. It allows me to know that you are "human" & not perfect. It also allows me to see that there is no wrong way to color. Thank you again for sharing your time. I find your videos very helpful.

Unusual color palate but it came out great. And I too love those little added swirls in the corners.

Here’s a link to drawing metal with colored pencils. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b5yoe5Ckla7Tg58.html then, you can tarnish it by blending which is what I imagine you were envisioning. I think if you use brighter orange yellows and warm browns for shading you’d get that metallic/brass like glow, even if you choose to tarnish it. I really love the snakeskin here!

I am perked my color palette this is what I have choose I got Crayola green Crayola dark blue night blue three words and one dark red orange black pink one crayon twisted pink twisted orange twisted green
