I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. kzfaq.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.

This is just what is needed for partial rv backup. Operates the ac and stuff perfectly. kzfaq.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y is quieter than my rv generator. Only suggestion is that it needs a fuel shutoff valve. So it is easier to store.

Thanks for sharing! I just ran into the same difficulty removing the flywheel off my GX160 because I'm installing a new flywheel with charging coils to power lights. I will also be installing a starter kit like you just did on my used GX240 I'm picking up tomorrow. So this video is very, very helpful to me!

Finally got the charging / starting kit installed on my GX390 yesterday. The original fly-wheel fought me for a bit but I won. For the starter hole, I used a 2-9/16" carbide hole saw without the drill bit on my Milwaukee 1/2" drive impact and made a clean cut through the case in roughly 8-seconds. Used a 220-grit sanding wheel on my drill to dress up the hole to mirror finish, starter was tight fit and mounted perfectly. As these charging coils (stators) are unregulated A/C current which will destroy a 12 VDC battery, I installed a six wire voltage regulator / rectifier to convert current from A/C to D/C. With engine at max speed, the voltage output is only 12.8 VDC using the two stock charging coils. As soon as I locate and purchase a pair of Hemi charging coils which are thicker with more plates, I'm going to swap them out. The voltage regulator / rectifier I purchased is solid state with no adjustments for higher current output so I need to get charging coils that output more current to attain at least 13.6 VDC to the battery for proper charge. Why these charging / starter kits come without the voltage regulator / rectifiers is beyond me but running A/C current straight to a D/C battery will destroy it.

At first I thought this was a valid point, so I looked at it in detail. As it turns out, at least in my kit, there is a rectifier in the little circuit protector set up. Likely just an axial lead diode in series. You can verify this by reading resistance or continuity across the leads coming in and going out with a good multimeter. In one polarity you should read about 0.7 ohms or so and open or infinite ohms in the opposite polarity. What this means is that it will output half-wave pulsed DC. The diode will block reverse current. So the battery won't see AC, just pulsed DC. You are correct that it is unregulated. But the fact that the max voltage out is only about 12.8 volts, it will charge the battery slightly, but won't over charge it. So if the battery gets run down by cranking, it will bring it back slowly to a bit over 12 volts. If you are going to use the battery for some other purpose beyond just the electric start, it will probably be inadequate. But for the sole purpose of charging the start battery, it should be just fine. If you run the battery way down, it will bring it back slowly and may take a while. Turns out that the circuit is exactly the same as with a factory electric start. I verified this in the Honda engine manual. If for some reason, your kit doesn't have the diode in the circuit, it's easy enough to add one. Doesn't need to be anything special, just rated about 18 volts or above and about 10amps, should do the trick. It's not a great design, but more than adequate to support electric start. It's not an alternator. If you want to support more load on the battery, adding coils and the rectifier/regulator, may work a little. however, you probably won't get much more voltage unless you modify the coils to put a couple opposite coils in series. Even then, I don't see it as being much gain. One side of the coil is grounded, so without modifying them, putting another coil in parallel will only at best, give you a bit higher current capability. In reality, the charging current will be a function of the voltage difference between the battery and the output. The additional coil(s) will somewhat smooth out the ripple of the pulses. That will give you two more pulses per revolution for each additional paralleled coil. (two permanent magnets on the flywheel.) That might make your meter think it's seeing higher voltage output, but that's a function of how the meter averages. The actual peak voltage won't change. On a scope, you'd see the added pulses but peak voltage of the pulse will be the same. You may seem some gain in overall charging, but it's going to be pretty small. Bottom line is the kit replicates the factory installed electric start. Thanks for making me think a bit.

I think when you were explaining the wire connections, referring to the red wire connection you said connected to a circuit breaker behind the key switch may have been inaccurate. I could not actually see it, but believe what you called a circuit breaker is most likely a Diode used to direct the flow of current one way to charge the battery when the key is in the on position and prevent discharging while in the off position. Other that that, you gave the most informative presentation for this modification I have seen. Good Job. Thumbs up!

I went with the 2-1/2” hole saw and still had to do quite a bit of dremel tool grinding to get that Dad burn starter to fit the hole!!! So aggravating I tell ya
@professorg8383 Жыл бұрын
The hole size you need is 65mm. 2-1/2" leaves you about 1.5mm small. With a hole saw in a hand drill, the hole is also likely to be something less than perfectly round. You want something very close to a machined fit because this hole will locate the starter and you want the drive teeth aligned with the flywheel teeth. Needing to hand fit it is better than a sloppy fit from a hole too large.

Neat! Pardon for a separate question .. bu How does the LOW oil sensor work? i.e., what shuts off the engine? does it have some type of pressure switch or what? (long story) My rubber sensor rubber part melted out - it appears to wires ran to it ... those wire connect or disconnect to shut the engine off please? I am "rebuilding" the parts around a 390cc Honda engine that gas leaked under it and burned a number of things up ... so I am trying to put it back together ... thanks so much .... GD Tractor Gary
@GlennsSpeedShop2 жыл бұрын
Most small engines turn off by grounding the coil. Safety switches shut engines off by grounding the coil. So I think if you tie the wires together it will ground the coil. If you leave the wires open it will run without the oil safety switch. Good luck
