Balloons: Sempertex Satin Pearl 5in, 12in, Tuftex black 5in, 9in, 11in, Qualatex Black Agat 12in. faux florals from Hobby Lobby, blank sign board from Target (i suggest Hobby Lobby), black Eisle from Hobby Lobby, floral Styrofoam from Walmart.

How do you keep the easel from falling over due to the weight of the balloons ?

If you get a quality easel, you should be fine. I never had to use weights or anything like that
