It's amazing to see how a game that is literally a decade older can look even better than it's 2013 counterpart due to mods. There is something to be said about not trying to fix what wasn't broken and SC4 wasn't broken.

The way you use details to a high extent is the reason why your my favorite you tuber. No one else creates cities, villages, etc. like you do.

So I've been watching this series and I'm like oh wow this looks really fun with all the design features and things to do. So i bought it. I guess I didn't realize just how many more he had on there.

Realistically, you should edit your videos and speed up the parts where the game-play slows down (such as when you're placing trees throughout the farm-zoned places). It would greatly enhance the quality of your videos and maybe even save you from having to figure out what to say during those parts. Love your vids though, can't wait to watch the rest of this series!

When you get the no road access zots on farms you can fix them by putting a 1x1 street or road connecting to the zone with the zot and then deleting the road after the zot disappears.

Also, you may need to place water treatment centers since agriculture tends to have a lot of ground pollution.

Hey Strict those (street) cul-de-sec can also be used as round-a-bouts. I think you can pull up to five streets from a cul-de-sec. Have fun and thanks again for the SimCity4 vids. Oh is the "V" button not the De-zone. "B" is buldose, "r" is road.

If you want to be realistic, don't straighten the terrain for the roads. Usually rural areas have all bumpy roads.

The game's isometric perspective throws off height perception until you start plopping things that you know are to scale. Vanilla slopes can go way above 50% which is itself bordering on insane, even most four wheel drive cars couldn't climb them. Realistic street grades max out at about 20% at the steepest although there are outliers that go up to around 30%, usually block-long minor residential streets or grade roads.

Thunk00 Filbert Street and 22nd Street in San Francisco have gradients of 31.5%. Canton Avenue, Pittsburgh has a 37% grade.

I just wish this games traffic didn't disappear as it does otherwise I'd play it non-stop! But the traffic ruins it for me :(! Great detail though! Town looks really good :)!

Hi Strict, what are the evergreen type trees that you place first around all the new farms around the 18 minute mark? I will try and find them. If they are in the same set as the ones you place after it, even better!

So here's the thing: Seeing you build that "river" (Your favorite part, you know) was pretty cool. Seeing you build that overpass and road connections and all the frustration, not at all. I have been using the 1.25x (Most of the time 1.5x) and it's not bad at all. But seeing you struggling with a thousand different road pieces is annoying either way. I'll keep to just skiping such parts.

Hi Strictcoaster, I have a specific question. I tried to find the tree mods that you used online by searching through their name but I couldn't find them. Can you tell me where you downloaded them? Particularly, I asking about trees like chestnut evergreen, honey locust etc. Did they come in a pack? Thanks

which slope mod do you use? I use BRF Tunnel and Slope, but yours only works using monorrail or elrail, the BRF works with road, street, rail, etc...that brings problems when I'm building when the terrain is flat the game doesn't let me connect roads

Hey Strictoaster, I made a city and zoned everything with all the services like water and power, but they just don't seem to build any houses and or commercial! I think the game might be bugging, or I zoned them to big. Can you give me some advice on why this is happening?

I would recommend mattb325's houses on simtropolis and sc4devotion.
