I had never even heard of Penelope Bourbon! But, we bought a bottle and we'll tell you what we think.

My favorites are Woodford reserve double oaked and Old Forester 1910. My daughter works at a distillery in Manhattan, NYC and is going to get a 4 grain bourbon they make for me, Idk what that's going to taste like but I'm looking forward to it! Cheers!

For the snobs, it's a bad thing. It means they do not distill on site. They only barrel finish. For the non snobs, it doesn't matter. Does it taste good. If so, then drink it.

My point is they have taken some beverages down but made others better.

No worries, I'm not a MGP hater. It's just nice to know if these smaller companies are true " craft" distillers or using a mass produced distillate.
