I feel like a couple of the recent Chilla's Art games have had stories that are a bit less fleshed out than I would like to see, especially compared to some of their older games (like The Closing Shift, for example). The developers certainly have lots of good ideas, but it seems like they don't always give themselves enough time to fully realize the potential of those ideas. I still appreciate the games, but I can't help but wonder how they would be if the developers allotted a bit more time to the development of each one!

You should also play the game “The Bed We Made”, it’s a game which takes place as you being a maid, snooping around to solve a mystery, while also doing your job to avoid suspicion!

This one is definitely most artistic work I’ve seen from them. My guess on the story, your a journalist investigating this mysterious house (Meybe you knew some of what was since you stayed). For the tapes, I think your fully the persons perspective. For their story, I believe their parents died either in front of them or in an atypical way. (Murder or somthing). The sensor I think is perposly made in such a jarring way to imply/enforce the idea that it’s the mind sensoring it not the game or for our viewing only. The kid can’t handle it and his mind dosnt handle it well. Imagining the “toilet demon.” Getting him to start killing birds. Him trying to bury the bird shows how it’s new and the kid is still somewhat remorseful. Slowly the demon asks for more and more. I’m not shure the exact symbolism of Koy (I’m shure there is a lot Japanese specific symbolism involved in all this). The koy being a pretty/purely aesthetic fish has greater importance, the TD asks for it. He dose this more and more. The grandparents have finally noticed due to the boy no longer burring or taking the bodies out of the house. (The censor in the river im un shure of, could be another body of a stranger or Meybe somthing that reminds him of his parents thus is censored). Thus the TD asks for more and more till the boy kills his grandmother. His grandfather either commits self die or the boy kills him. Still the TD still asks. This keeps going into his adult life, and it’s all that matters. They burried the bodies below where his parents were. The statues and other presence is more symbolism likely. I think he hadent left because more people weren’t in his perfew. That’s until the tapes from the journalist where he ventured out to give this new more that he (and now the thought up TD) are now aware of. That’s my first thoughts. Anyways

i totally agree with the censors, i was wondering about them when they first appeared, i was even a little annoyed bc i could barely see what was under them, and then it clicked in my head that we only really see the censors when we're in the pov of the kid, so it must be smth psychological, like how the brain fogs up memories of something traumatic, which in this game, they showed it by putting up censors (which i think is kinda funny, but it works)
