Chocolate Upside Down Cake
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup milk
Cream together the sugar and butter. Sift flour and baking powder and add to sugar mixture. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well and pour into a 8 X 8 pan
(If you double the recipe use a 9 X 13 pan)
Topping
1/2 sugar
1/2 brown sugar
3 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup water
Mix sugars and cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter. Pour water carefully over the top. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350* for 45 min. Cut into squares. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping while still warm.
