If you would like to get your crafty space organized, get some new ideas, and have fun along the way, we would love for you to join us in our monthly KZfaq hop. A group of crafty friends will get together the last Saturday of each month at 3:00 p.m. CST to share their ideas, storage tips, and organization for that month’s selected Crafty Item.
This month’s hop focuses on Scrapbooking Collections. It will be so fun to see other people’s craft rooms and look at a variety of different organizing ideas.

I have been scrapbooking for about 26 years and if you saw my pages from years ago you would see that my style has changed so much. Keep scrapbooking and you can reach any goals you have. This is my preferred method of storing my kits when I have matching items. I also store my kits by categories. It's just how my brain works.

Just a tip…I use the storage pocket with the string closure. I cut off the string and cut a 3/4” hook and loop fastener with adhesive directly behind on the inside the bottom circle. Press very well and now you have a Velcro closure. Works great! Thanks for the video.

I love the idea of the colour coded dots. I don't organize by manufacturer so that part doesn't work for me, but the dots are great for sorting themes.

I don't know if this will help for your stickers but it does work well for me so thought I'd share it with you. This idea was given to me by one of the ladies in a group I'm in. I use the WIDE PLASTIC magazine containers. The wide containers are about double the width of the regular ones. I have 2 of them, one for alphas & one for the rest of my stickers. They fit Thickers perfectly as we as most stickers. Every now & then I get some that won't fit & I have to dream up something creative for them but most of them fit in these perfectly. These containers also fit great in my cube storage shelves. I believe I could fit 2 of them side by side in one cube (mine sit on top of shelves now) & they hold a lot of stickers/alphas. I have two of them & each is only about half full. I hope this helps you & you surely gave me some good ideas too.

That's a wonderful idea! My craft room is always changing and evolving so I am constantly on the lookout for great storage ideas like that one. I don't have many collections and all of them have 12x12 sticker sheets, so I don't have a lot of extras with them. However, even if I do get more variety in the future, I would like to do them like you and keep collections together. I keep my stickers in binders with pockets. You can pocket sleeves in a variety of sizes to match the size of the things you want to store.

In England we don't have hobby lobby ☹️I think we are hugely missing out! We have Hobbycraft but they do very little scrapbooking products now as it's not as fashionable apparently. I store papers by size in themes,then separate plain colours( mostly 12*12). All in 12*12 plastic boxes which are labelled then embellishments in boxes like really useful boxes,again by category ( Christmas/ travel/ kids etc). It's taken years to work out how my brain works for organising! I find others fascinating.

Hobby Lobby does have a lot of bargains, but I buy most of my scrapbooking products online (for the good stuff lol!). I think you said it well...you have to store items the way your brain works! Even if you have a great system, if it doesn't match how you think, I don't think you can find anything!!! Thank you so much for watching, Victoria!!! :)

Oh my gosh. I think we were separated at birth. I store my collections the exact same way, and I have the same problem box of random embellishments. I just found your channel through the organization hop, so I’m going to check out the rest of your videos.

You might put the stickers/embellishments that are in the 2 big boxes in color order or with your paper that is in color order. I would do that after you pull out all the ones that you can match up to a collection. Good luck! You must have everything organized pretty well because your pages are always gorgeous!

Love how you organize, I do something similar but I love the addition of the dots! I’m also jealous of how much Basic Grey you still have! I have some bits and pieces and maybe two or three collections that still have quite a bit.

Loved this video Laura, I keep all of my collections in jumbo zip lock baggies with the same label punch you only mines a die and so far it’s been working great, but I like your idea of putting the color coded dots on them. I find I always work better when I’m organized. Thanks for sharing some great tips and ideas my friend. Have a great weekend.💕
