James, thanks so much for the introduction to your family. I enjoyed it immensely. DO NOT APOLOGIZE for who you are and what you're doing. Sounds to me like Julius has found the perfect place to live his best life. I'm just glad you started this channel so we can see him and be reminded of his mom. I really look forward to your interacting with your family and him. As far as the "haters" go, don't let them get to you. Those of us who love life and this channel are the ones you should focus on. Take care. Til next time... BTW get some riding lessons for yourself so you can enjoy Julius too. He's magnificent.

First of all please don't think you HAVE to answer everybody's questions, you don't :) BUT I'm glad you did. Children with CP have many more issues besides movement, g.i. problems etc. They need so much care. The fact that you all have tried so many things for him is awesome! He is very loved :) The cars are cool to see, enjoy them :) Traveling with a special needs child is very difficult, my grandson is special needs, no complete reason why, but if you take him from home it is difficult. So I understand :) Your daughter is lovely and it's fun to watch her learn to ride. 6Feet tall at 14?? Oh my :) It is also nice to see you trying your best to make these videos, so cool for your kids to watch! Thank you again :) Relax when you film, live in the moment too, don't live through your camera :) Take care of you and your family :) Thank you again :)

Her name is actually pronounced Ooneek not You Neek. The English word "unique" is pronounced as "you neek" and that's not how her name was pronounced. James said the first part of her name correctly, it was just the second part that needs fixing.

@@lisajoyaslanis Lisa you always have to stick your nose in everywhere and reply to everything like you own the Friesian Horses community. It isn't about Uniek "minding", it's about pronouncing her name correctly and showing respect to Yvonne and Uniek by pronouncing her name the correct way as I'm sure James would want to be doing. How would you feel if everyone called you Lysa instead of Leesa? "Uniek doesn't mind"...what a ridiculous thing to reply to me when everyone is literally telling him the wrong way to say her name according to every single video we've watched of how her name is said.
@TeaAndTalkTime
@TeaAndTalkTime Ай бұрын
The funny thing is, Yvonne herself has said Uniek's name both ways and then some! I remember in one video she laughed and corrected herself. So if she laughs when said differently, I don't think she minds. As to Uniek, as long as you bring her food, brushes and lets her trot, walk, run and then turn back to the stable for more food, I truly don't thing she minded either. Just my opinion. Love her. Miss her. Enjoy getting to watch her offspring.

James I love your family, everything💙. The songs, the cars, the cats...You owe no one any explanations about anything. Prince Julius is YOUR horse, not the world's. You take all the time you need to maneuver this new chapter in all of your lives. Yes I loved Queen Uniek very much and I also love Yvonne and the other horses/ponies at Stal H & Stal G, but now we're at Stal J (James lol). I'm from the US too and was born into the horse world so needless to say I was worried that some "horse people" would be tough on you. They have no right to be. Block the haters, you're too good of a person to deal with negative people. I want you and your family to have fun with Julius and yes he will show you the way. He will show Lexi the way too through his gentle nature, love and patience. Julius and your daughter will soon have their own language between them. They will grow together. He's the perfect horse for Lexi. Prince Julius is very happy, it shows in his actions so you're doing something very right for sure. And he does not look skinny, he moved 1/2 way across the world and his body is just adjusting that's all that is. (And real horse people would know that, ugh!!!) P.S. Thanks for saving Cosmo, he's sweet. And lucky 🍀 Sorry for writing so much. I know you already know everything I've said here but some things needed to be said. Julius is like handing a Ferrari to a kid that doesn't even know how to drive yet! You probably have one of the most highly trained horses in the world. The fact that he didn't move when you got on him is GOLD. Friesians have HUGE movement and are incredibly powerful, especially in the canter (and especially Queen Uniek's son! Yvonne would constantly comment how strong she was, more than any other Friesian, over the many years at the barn). In the Netherlands, Friesians are typically trained to also drive and can pull carts with up to 4+ people on them - that could be fun for your son and family! Do you know if Julius can do this? Nebraska is nice and flat too, just like the Netherlands :)

You are doing great at this! It's so good to see Queen Uniek's(pronounced like our English word "unique") son - and both of them are great with the humans in their lives. Watching the adventures of Queen Uniek and Yvonne is what got me through the pandemic, the death of both my parents and youngest sister. It's good for me to watch that life does go on.

Dear James, Thank you for this lovely, heartwarming video. 😊 You are a very kind man to do this for your viewers. I must admit that I was one of those who mistook another young woman who was riding Julius for Lexi. I hope I won't make that mistake again! You and your family are providing Julius with the best life. He is happy, has friends and has access to any and all professionals he needs. He looks fine to me. Yes, his circumstances have changed, but this happens to every horse that gets new owners. Horses adapt just fine. If you prefer using Western style equipment, do so. He had to learn the English way, he can certainly learn the Western way too. He's your horse. You are learning as you go, and I think it's very brave that you are showing this process to us. I enjoy your videos very much, and I hope you continue to make them. Prince Julius has an amazing pedigree and history, but the main thing is that you all love him and are happy that he's a part of your family now. Sorry to ramble on! You're doing great and thank you for everything! Blessings to you and your lovely family! 😊🐴🐎🐈‍⬛🐈👋💞❣️

Hi, James.... I've certainly been enjoying your videos. You are such an awesome dad and your love for your family is quite evident. As you were speaking about finding things for Kaden to enjoy, I wondered if he has experienced virtual reality as I've read stories of people with CP have had positive reactions to it. I also wanted to mention that Queen Uniek's name is pronounced "unique"... and she certainly was a unique and majestic creature... just like Julius. Wishing many blessings for your family.

Thank you for sharing your family's story with us. (Don't worry about the critics; nothing you do will make them happy). I followed Yvonne's Friesian Horses channel, and I was pleased to hear about Julius & also that you live in Nebraska, as I was born in Lincoln, 78 years ago! I live in Arizona now, & my partner & I had Arab & Half Arab horses for years. Arabs have a reputation in some circles for being "crazy," but we always found them to be much as you describe Julius with Lexi, "patient and careful." Horses certainly add something special to their humans' lives. Please keep up the good work, and share with us what & when you can. 💖💖💖

Thank you for sharing & being gracious in your replies. I must admit I was rather appalled that some people don't realise the effect on a horse of the stress of hours of confinement in travelling, the new sounds and smells, a completely new environment and climate, and new people are all stresses which Julius needs to adjust to. Sounds luke he is being a Prince so far. Uniek and Stal G & H should be very proud. 👏👏👏

Now that we've taught you how to pronounce Uniek's name, let me say that you seem to me to be doing a great job with your lives, your new horse, your fun cars,& your videos. Ignore all criticism. Yeah, not too many Friesian horses or people in Nebraska From watching Yvonne's channel I've learned how much calmer & more steady they are than many riding horses. So wise to get a well-trained horse for a novice rider. You did a great thing to get this extraordinary gift for your daughter. As some one who taught special needs kids, I saw how it sometimes was hard for the other children b/c it can feel like all the attention is on the child who needs so much. You are doing an amazing job with everything, you'll find that you've inherited a simply amazingly supportive group of international fans. P.S.--Take a couple of riding lessons on J., it'll be fun & give your daughter an opportunity to laugh at you, & maybe you'll end up wanting a horse of your own, named Ferrari, I think! P.P.S.--if you want Julius to show off in the ring, you need to wave your arms a bit & cluck (not chicken cluck, tchtchtch) at him. You've stepped into a whole new world here! P.P.P.S.--I have a very good friend who was an ICU nurse at Lincoln General (I think) for many years, wouldn't it be ironic if she had been Kaden's nurse! And I promise never to write such a long comment ever again.

You don’t need to explain your choices to any of us. That you can provide for your family in the ways you’re providing is fine. Obviously, nobody who owns a Friesian or a Ferrari is struggling. We wouldn’t expect that. You are making choices for your family, based on your resources. How fun that you can have a world class Friesian from a top stable as a starter horse for your daughter. That would have been my dream when I was a kid. Wow! That’s great! Thank you for letting us follow your journey with Julius. So happy that we can watch your channel and go on your journey vicariously. I’m sure he’s getting the very best in veterinary care. Hi James, keep in mind that many of us are still grieving for Queen Uniek. It is easy for people to lash out in anger when grief hits. Julius is in great hands. You couldn't have known that he comes with 400.000 people attached that just lost a great treasure. Folks need to realize that things are done differently in other countries and that you are not Yvonne, but James. And James has his own life with his own family. You are a great dad! I, too, have two daughter's with disabilities. It will all work out in time. Hang in there, James, the herdcore won't let you down. They will help you with questions. I see a number of them here. Julius is also lucky to have been chosen by you and your daughter. He has lots of stable friends as well as Cosmo. Lovely to hear Cosmos story also. He is very beautiful and loves being near to Julius. I think that Julius is very very lucky to have been chosen by your family. I do not know, but I’m guessing it was not “all fun and games” working for the Dutch Royals. Especially being in large crowds, standing attached to Carriages for many hours etc. now Julius can become the way he would have been treated at Stall G before he was sold as ( I am only guessing as a three year old). Yvonne worked for many years with Boss Rein at Stall G, and horses all love her so much. Please do not put stress on yourself with your Channel, seeing the stables, Julius and his friends, Cosmo, the sun shining etc is lovely for the majority of people following.
