a 6h grind over two days yielded 9 levels from 18 to 27 i now have the damn red deer caller and all in just one spot thank you once again

Thanks for the video! I'm happy to see more goose videos being released, theres not many videos on KZfaq about them. Lots of good information but I do have a few things to add, based on my experience with goose hunting in the game 1. The goose dlc is not nessesary for hunting geese, but it does of course help! The base game comes with the caller, which is enough to bring them over (but not as effective as combining with the decoys) 2. The dlc does come with a few free decoys (or at least it did when i bought it a few months ago) i think it was 5 of each type for free and then you can buy more after 3. I am 90% sure that the open-top waterfowl blind is not from the goose dlc. I am nearly positive that is from the duck dlc. The layout blind (looks like a bed) is with the one that comes with geese Again thank you for the video and happy hunting!

When it comes to goose decoys its 20 each feeding, searching & sentry same for ducks 20 hens and 20 drakes get rid of the tripod and shotgun scope 20ga with steel shot or 10ga are best and use the waterfowl blind in the middle of goose decoys also set up in multiple fields around the map and jump to them whenever one goes stale you will get way more geese that way

I tested all shotguns on geese - the most effective for me is Miller 1891 from the Smoking Barrels DLC with 10 ga brass birdshot. Only 3 shots, so I have two of them for 6 shots from close range plus 22 for shooting the rest of the flock out of the sky. Works best for me.

20ga has half the pellets of 10, why bother with anything but 10 or 12? The 12ga gets 6 shots, easy choice. Blow through your 6 shots and then change to the .22. Easy.

I love goose hunting great way to earn cash if you’re low and bullets are also cheap. I shot two geese last night with one shot with the caccitorie (sp?) shotgun! It was awesome lol:)

I didnt have to pay ingame for the decoys with the dlc ,they were in my storage [thank god] but the caller is 6k and I've only got 4k so that will have to wait til I shoot some Geese lol.Thanks for another great guide btw

haha got my diamond goose, which is a 2nd diamond ever this is a ca$h printing machine. cacciatore just makes it insane once you unlock it. this is best way (if arguably the most boring way) to level up also.

I just got started on the game and was hunting geese to level up and collect cash. When they released Mississippi they broke the geese so they won't land anymore, so now I just sit on a tripod and pick them out of the sky with the 22. With some practice with the 22 I can sometimes drop and entire flock up to 10 geese. Not sure I'll go back to the shotgun when they fix the geese. I don't think I've dropped an entire 11 goose flock yet, but sometimes I'll get consecutive flocks, 2 or 3 before I collect and I'll have a pile of geese out there on the ground of up to 20 at a time. I don't always get numbers that high, but when I'm having a particularly steady and good day I can drop em like cord wood.

With the new update, will geese land with hunting pressure? They seem to go alert when there is hunting pressure down, vs when there isn't, there doesn't seem to be any alerted

Hey LadyLegend wondering if you or anyone can help me out please , I just got the goose hunting dlc to make some cash and have put 20 decoys down in middle of field placed a tent and a hide , geese fly over but never land my dog is also layed down but no geese ever come into land ???? Am i doing something wrong as i keep trying and have moved decoys around but somethings a miss ?? Any help would be fantastic your videos have already helped me soooooo much keep up the great work cheers

In general, if you're using decoys, the caller is completely unnecessary. If the flock is coming and you can spot the geese they will 100% land near decoys. AFAIK the caller works if the flock flies over too high to spot, but I never cared about them. And the caller sounds too annoying to tolerate it 😉

Also if you're shooting with 22 it's good to follow the goose after hit until she drops - you'll get the animal icon where she felt on the map and it's way easier to find her in the woods 😊

I’ve set up 3 locations and geese are all I hunt on this map. I’m concerned about hunting pressure. Do geese care about hunting pressure?

Nope. You dont' have to worry about pressure with geese. They have no need zones.

I've been doing this for maybe like 2 or 3 hours trying to get the .470 nitro rifle but I've only have a profit of like 20k cause I had to buy stuff for goose hunting Edit: Does Hunting Pressure affect the geese from coming into the area?

the only thing about the catchatore ... or however it's spelled .. is that for me the sound of it is a little anticlimactic ... the twenty gage three shot sounds much better but of course limits the magazine to only three I usually use that one anyway but I do like to hunt geese ... I was waiting for that goose to fall on your head ... I wonder if you would take health damage for that ...?

No matter what I do the damn geese just won't land. I have down the last 3 hours doing this and only got 1 flock to land and I shot 3. What am I doing wrong. I have 23 decoy out in the field you were hunting in. I am in a tripod stand and calling. Can you over call

That HOOOINK! HOOOINK! is so annoying. 😆 I wish there was more volume sliders. Like one for callers, one for gunshots and one for the rest... I like to play with high volume to hear the animals but it makes everything else so loud. 😁
