What is the GPS and 4G antenna used for? Do they have to be installed? If so, can they be installed under the dash?

Now let me answer your question: 1. You can install and use Google or WAZE navigation in PEMP Android, and navigation requires GPS antenna to search for navigation satellites; 2. When you insert the SIM card, PEMP can connect to the network through the 4G antenna; 3. If the above 2 functions are not used, you can not install them; 4. It is recommended that you install it where the signal can be received. As long as there is no hardware coverage, it can search for signals.

when i plug the optical wire in the way u said the audio wont work and requires the aux jack use. but when i dont use the optical wire at all then i get an error about SOS not working. any solution to this other than using the aux cable? and the knob does not fit in the slot appropriately - the screws dont line up

Optical fiber is mainly used to transmit OEM information, it is not to transmit audio. So you definitely have to move the fiber optic wires to the android harness; If you must connect AUX IN to get Android audio, you must do so. This is the only workaround. The knob may need your help adjusting it for me.
