Hi Claire, I have a small wizard that is made of pewter. I got my mold kit from Let's Resin too, and made a mold of it. It came out great! So then I put some silver powder in it, filled it with black resin, and when I unmolded it, I could hardly tell the difference from my original! I really like your heart candle holders. I plan on using more aqua resin this coming year. 🦌♥️⛄

Ha ha! When we get a snow warning I have to admit, we are a little less enthusiastic. We live in Ottawa, Canada. (some years we forget to take the scrapers and shovels out of the car in the summer...). Love all your crafty adventures - I have some molding stuff from Lets Resin, just a matter of getting the courage up to use it!

I just got 2 of those mold housings. yesterday. Haven't used them yet, but I plan to do that today. I make and sell molds online, but I don't expect I'll be able to use those housings for that - they look like they'd have joint lines around them. As I typed this, you mentioned pretty much the same thing. But I will say that for my own personal use, it looks like a great system - when I just need to make something quick. Yes, I use Let's Resin silicone rubber. It's not totally necessary, but I put mine in a vacuum chamber to remove ALL bubbles. This is important for using the mold in a pressure pot - otherwise, all the bubbles will reappear and ruin the mold and resin piece. I use Duck brand transfer paper, so I don't have tape lines.

When I looked at the glass holders it didn't look smooth but the moulds look great! I got fooled by the transparency of the glass I guess. That green is just perfect with the hint of snowflakes!

I made a 2 part mould of one of my custom horses it took 10 litres of silicone but the copies come out really good :) (not LR silicone)

I made my first mould because I saw your previous try with these and since then I have wondered aisles to find something I can make a mould out of like those but I haven't found anything yet. But I have made moulds and I do go back to your video 😁

Love the colour claire and its not red due to the shape thought it would have been 😂. Iv got this gadget from let’s resin not used it, got the silicone not used, stupid how you can feel intimidated by the stuff then when I got ready can’t find anything to mould yet.

I just went to order the Let’s Resin silicone rubber and noticed they sell different sorts from soft to hard silicone. Is there a shore scale you’d suggest when making molds to use with Jesmonite? Thanks for this amazing video. It’s really informative and love the candle holders!

Hi Claire these are beautiful… I have stopped resin atm as can’t do it without my dog in the room and my daughter is pregnant.. don’t know if there would be any risk to her but not risking it! Do I need to use PPE while making the silicone moulds or anything to do with jesmonite?

Hiya Claire. I just watched the video you linked in the side menu for the moulding silicone that fused to the glass and I am confused as it didn't fuse at all. You mentioned in the video that the instructions said it "could" fuse to glass, but your hearts didn't and came out perfectly. Was it possibly a different video? All the Best, Diane, UK xxx
