Wow, what a difference! While I will never know the people's reaction to the new sign, I'm glad I did it. It was a fun project.

Very Impressive!! I was asked awhile back about making a big sign like this and honestly didn't feel comfortable doing it. Might just have to play around. Thank you for the great videos. Still a little hesitant on doing The Tape and Glue Method.

Very nice project, so generous of you to do this for your local community. Good tip about not using the previous x, y zero setting, this may explain why my two bit carvings are skewed.

Surprised you use the x-crave over the cnc4newbies, brought it after watching your review of it. I have my cnc4newbies setup to use easel just like my xcrave.

I use both a lot. The XCarve is setup with easel and I use VCarve Pro and UGS on the CNC4NEWBIE. I’m also setting up the FOXAlien machines for specific purposes. I am constantly testing and trying new and different things. That where most of the videos come from. I do not video all my projects. If I have nothing new to share in a project, I will just do it. It’s so much faster when I do not have to set up the camera and lights and set the stage.

curious as the design choice. seems like a lot of deadspace in the right and left sides of the sign.

How much do you charge for a huge sign like this? I bet a sign company would be outrageous for that size piece.

What brand and type of paint did you use? What is your source for the flat stock?

The concrete board and the PVC trim boards were all from the Lowe's store. Any big box store should carry this material. The paint is an exterior house paint and the letters are painted with Rustoleum spray can

Very Nice. I would like to carve a Mayan Calendar using easel, for some reason I am having a difficult time with the software generating the file, any help would be helpful. Thanks

Not sure of the problems that you are having or where you got the file because there are so many out there. Because of the detail, many will have open vectors or lines the cross each other. While others will have so many nodes it will take forever to process. This is definitely a starting point for you to investigate to find the cause.
