This is my February 2023 project as an Island Batik Ambassador. In this video, I will talk about the Double Dutch fabric collection I used to make this quilt and the steps that are involved in making the quilt. This is stunning. My son wants me to make him one, and I was wondering how to join the top and bottom layers. I considered stitch in the ditch but I wasn't sure what it would look like all over. The back really does look quilted even without the wadding. Superb, thank you.

I can’t find the blog for this. Is there a pattern re sizing of blocks etc? Also, could you use muslin for the back of squares if it’s going to be hidden? Gorgeous quilt btw.

Hi Lisa, thanks for watching and for the nice compliment on my quilt.The blog is located on my website at www.bluebearquilts.com and is my Feb 2023 entry. There is no pattern as between the KZfaq video and blog, you have all the information you need to make this quilt. You definitely could use muslin for backing the squares as it doesn’t show if you put a backing on and you probably will want to do that as it looks like raw seams if you don’t.
