Learn how to paint a procreate watercolor children's book style illustration in procreate. This slide follows the usual beginner friendly process and explains some fun procreate tips for creating lush backgrounds.
I used a combination of brushes and a paper texture for this project:
- Sketch with the boy and the leaf: www.mediafire.com/file/hmxowg...

- Little pine brush (in the Drawing tab/Procreate Brush Library)
- 4B compressed charcoal (In the charcoal tab/Procreate Brush Library)
-Fineliner Pen/Abstract Round/Water Blender (Amazing watercolor for procreate kit)
-Blacksands paper texture
The watercolor brushes and the paper texture are products I sell on my etsy store to support the channel. These tools help you create organic looking watercolor-textures in Procreate. This is not a critical thing and you can follow this video with any brushes or textures you might already have.

This is a really satisfying, versatile and beautiful technique. I used a sketch of my grandson which I had previously created as the image for the boy and I love the result. I plan to do a spring , summer and winter wreath so I will have all four seasons . Thank you so much for all the lovely tutorials you provide which all have a gentle meditative mood and calm the artistic spirit and your pace is never rushed. Gorgeous

I love your videos. You could try using a clipping mask layer, it would be easier for you than erasing the edges individually each time. Love how easy and simple your tutorials are!

Calvin you completely STOLE an illustration from a woman that makes tutorials on Skillshare. Her Lesson is called Baby Boy and Bunny Dreaming. If you google the title, you will see the EXACT picture of leaves, design and composition I understand as artists we all take a little from each other....but in every one of your tutorials - you have stolen from everybody else ! How about something ORIGINAL huh ??? #shameful
