Love Marie-Louise and this is so cool you’re trying one of her paintings! Totally agree about her soothing voice and accent. Great cells and colors! I was surprised at the dry result and how much more prominent the tree is - good call with using the paintbrush. The green cells almost look like leaves on the branches.

Cards on the table.....I have been a fan of Marie-Louise from the beginning of her fluid art journey...truly an inspiring odyssy....so to see you acknowledge her contribution to your own artistic evolution is gratifying. It seems to me that many in the fluid art community are unusually good at acknowledging by name, inspiring artists they have drawn creative ideas from from. Marie-Louise certainly goes out of her way to give "shout-outs" where appropriate, but this series you are doing takes things to a whole new level. I genuinely commend your humility for doing it at all, and love the inventiveness of your style, superimposing ML's video on top of your own to allow the viewer to make easy comparisons. Given that this was your first attempt at a so called "tree swipe", I think the final painting turned out wonderfully well. Having said that, the final views of your wet canvass in the video did little to inspire me, but something magical happened during the drying process, plus your 'touching up' of the 'trunk' of the tree, that brought the trunk and branches to life, by rendering them more contrasting with the palette of general greens in the background. As a huge bonus, the cells that formed came to look like leaves around the branches, rendering the whole as a beautifully realistic tree form, which I sincetely love. Well done with the painting, and cudos to you for having the idea of this series and delivering it so perfectly 🙌👍
