On this episode of Overboard, Polygon's tabletop and board game show, we're playing CONCEPT. It's sort of like Charades, except instead of movements we're using tokens on a board to indicate what kind of word or phrase the players are trying to guess. Guesses range from the easy - like bumblebee! - to more complicated phrases and uh, concepts! NOW, WARNING. I'M ABOUT TO POST SPOILERS FOR THE ANSWERS TO EACH ROUND. "a man, diagnosed as unfuckable" without a doubt entering Top 10 Most Polygon quotes of all time. nearly took me out with the delivery on that one, Simone! i had to play it back thrice just to recenter myself. the intrigued and excited "a man... /with a JOB!?!?!/" that followed was delightful too. incredible manic energy all around in this one, ya love to see it! (also love every time there were attempts to engage the Simone-Pat Drift Compatible+ Tara-Simone Telepathy Connection powers only to be thwarted by the nature of the single shared brain cell. absolute Essence of Polygon).

I am glad to see this back but it just reminded me of how much miss Jenna Stoeber and that I wish she had had a proper goodbye. I wish Mike Rugnetta never even suggested I trust Vox after idea channel ended.

oh this one was FUN, i love these ones!! i really do appreciate the overboard episodes that are less competition and deception heavy and more fun group focused!! mysterium, wavelength, i think werewords was fun too! where everyone's all guessing together, this was great, i hope you do more of these!

The hints for turning a new leaf were so confusing! The expression refers to the pages of books, which used to be called leaves. it has nothing to do with nature or green. Glad they got there!

This was so good, gosh I love overboard. As soon as I got turning over a new leaf midway through the second one the round was excruciating to watch. They were so close! I’m glad to say I got Iron Man faster than Simone, I got rocket Science a few mins before Pat but not the it’s not bit so he would’ve won there. Got light at the end of the tunnel almost instantly. It was so fun to play along.
