I love that Ash is a Dreddhead too! I agree that 'Dredd' (Urban) captured the feel, while I think "Judge Dredd' (Stallone) captured the look. merge the two and we have the perfect Dredd movie IMO.

Totally agree the stalone movie had a more colourful aethetic and even though Mega City 1 is a dystopian place there was alot of colour dipicted ib the comics with all the lights and seedy places of the judge world.

I would LOVE to see a judge painted up by Ash! I cant even picture it in my mind, I would have to see his sick, sick, paint job to believe it.

Cool, I've been interested in this game for a while. I'm a big Judge Dredd fan but worried I wouldn't have enough appropriate terrain to capture the feel of Mega-City One. Maybe the Cursed Earth, though.

That mohawk punk was utterly lethal with the toast knife! I freaking love when a character does that--especially if it keeps happening again and again. Something about a model getting a reputation, good or bad, is one of the best parts of the hobby. Maybe she'll be our next Molly the halfling!

Thanks a ton for showcasing this game and I hope you do more. I bought and painted up the starter set when it released (start of pandemic) but have seen very very little video or support material online - it looked like the game was going to be abandoned or forgotten - which is a shame given the quality of the figs and rule book. Hope to see more of how this game plays and hopefully it will inspire more interest and longevity. Thanks

Oh man this got me right in the nostalgia! Seems like a really solid ruleset, and I like how the power of a player declines as they get progressively wounded, plus the star activation for the judges. Maybe a bit much having armour values also drop, as I feel like armour would still offer some sort of protection even after being shot up a little! Poor Dredd at the end there getting ganged up on and curb stomped by punks. Models look great too. I take it Warlord own the 2000AD licence? Praying for Rogue Trooper at some point!

Yay! I love Judge Dredd - I picked up the starter box in a sale last year, I've been meaning to paint it up ever since but it joined the backlog. I just picked up Strontium Dog on the cheap too - same mechanics I think, and the minis will work in both games when I eventually get round to them.

Played this scenario lots of times, the rookie almost never makes it. Same thing happens, someone just walks on and shoots her in the back 🥺

The starter set actually only comes with 10 miniatures. 8 block gang, 1 street judge and 1 rookie judge. If you want Dredd: he's in his own separate box.

Great game, we played it for the first time the other day and I wanted to check that we did everything correctly! It's a fun game and quite intuitive once you get going with it.

Little known fact. Mega City One is actually just a hive within the 40k universe that has been cut off from the rest of the imperium by warpstorms for so long that they don't even remember the imperium. This explains the gangers, the judges that look exactly like adeptus aribtes, the jet bikes, the golden eagles all over everything, the psykers, and the mutants.

Proto-arbites Ex-Citadel miniatures here www.warmongerminiatures.com/collections/ex-citadel/products/ba001-empirical-absolution-and-liquidation-squad these were apparently based mostly on the Citadel Judge Dredd line.

Not that sussed on Dredd i can tell. He's not an 80's thing. He's a 70's thing. Got into him in the summer of 77 myself. Issue 3 onwards of 2000AD.

I picked the Kickstarter up during the Mongoose fracas. So I'm sitting on a ton of these figures. I might just have to pick this game up, and get stuck in. I've only needed a reason to get them on the painting que.

As a huge Dredd fan since a kid, I've had a good look at this game, and I've decided the Judges are way underpowered. Indeed, I'd boost pretty much all of their stats. Think about it, you're trained in extremely brutal hand to hand combat and weaponry from at least age 8. Often times even younger, by the time you've past your test on the Hot-Dog run and graduated the Academy of Law at 18-20. You'd be a mixed martial artist and armed combat exponent of some note. Moreover, your physical conditioning would be top notch, and the discipline of looking after oneself would be deeply ingrained. How many flabby judges are their in the comics? Not many, and if they are a bit portly or older, they're still bloody dangerous. Basic, even higher level street punks, shouldn't have a snowballs chance against the average street judge unless they're in numbers. Hell, even a cadet should wipe the floor with your average punk. So, I'm a little disappointed all things considered; because, the miniatures are really quality.

I watched Dredd (2012) and Demolition Man after I watched this video. I also ordered some more Dredd bits and pieces. I doubt I look ready, but I feel ready :D I'm definitely

the judge bonus for moving multiple times a round is completely negated by the fact that gangers can go, what, 8-9-10 times in a row due to a bad draw?

When your 1st reserve character activated, you moved 6, then shot twice. Is this not 3 actions, or was the double shot because of the double pistols? I thought the double pistols just gave you a +1, not another action.
