Here's another PC software game from my childhood that isn't on KZfaq yet! It's an interactive animated storybook Mercer Mayer's "Just Me and My Mom" featuring Little Critter! I thought since I'm often traveling into Boston by train (like how Little Critter and his mom here travel to the city by train), this would be appropriate! We join the overalls-clad hedgehog and his mother and their frog friend into Critter City for a fun excursion with museums, dining, shopping and more! But naturally, Little Critter causes some mayhem along the way...
Plus there's songs throughout!
In Part 2, Little Critter causes mayhem at the museum and aquarium, we see bird versions of Siskel and Ebert, rapping dinosaur skeletons, and a Romeo and Juliet performance gone horribly wrong!

I think the theater scenes were entirely made just to scare kids but Little Critters reactions are still worth watching

the romeo & juliet part @ 17:13 was always the funniest part when I used to have this at age 8 (or later). My brother and I would play that part over and over and never got tired of it. Here I am, 21 years old, watching this part again and still find it funny.

I remember that Arthur episode. I thought it was funny 😆 that Mr. Ratburn 🐀 shouted “Quiet!!” To get the class to stop ✋ laughing 😂 (I imaged him with a female opera singer 👩‍🎤 voice singing 🎤)

The way Frog was drumming, it should sound a little bit more like pow-wow drumming, & I thought Little Critter's reactions at the theaters were so funny.

I have distinct memories of booting up this disk just for that totem head at 8:07. That thing made me cackle with laughter as a kid and it helps that everyone reacts to it.. It's still pretty great, though I'm never been able to figure out what he "calls him"

I thought the museum guard had a French accent. And I love dancing to the Native American drumming, I've been to a couple of powwows.

Oh yes, I also imitated the sharks' "we're sooo hungry" line & gnashed a bit whenever I wanted a snack in the kitchen.

I remember the "Fire One!" from the submarine, I thought it was funny & it's been such a long time, I thought it'd be a nuclear powered one. I remember in my Geosafari game when I guessed Submarine & Sub-fired missile right, I'd always hear "fire one" before the submarine's torpedoes & the sub-fired missiles are launched.

Oh, and the treasure chest would open in the aquarium scene, only to have the gold sucked out before Frog can get rich with it.

You forgot to click on the T-Rex's head so that this dinosaur skeleton would make a reference to William Shakespeare's Hamlet!

When I clicked on the top of the teepee, I saw smoke that said "Hi Little Critter" accompanied by powwow drumming, & the frog can steal the audience's attention away from the seal show too.

National History Museum doesn't have a theater in LA but Science Center has Imax. About Little Critter touching the egg, just like Patrick from Spongebob touches everything at the museum until they get caught by a guard who says Don't touch.

There were a few things missed here: In the dinosaur exhibit, you could click on the T-Rex's head and he'd do the famous Hamlet speech. The triceratops would fall apart and be put back together if clicked in a certain spot. The raccoon boy will say he's not afraid of a "dumb, old dinosaur," and then the T-Rex roars. The bone below the T-Rex's feet gets munched on by a dog before he's yelled at by the guard. In the aquarium scene, when you click on the hole in the shipwreck, a mermaid appears and blows a kiss to Little Critter, which makes him blush.

Katie Cadet & I are wondering, are there any more parodies in this game that you might've missed? If you click on the T-Rex's tail there will be a skateboarder, & if you click on the stair rail, there will be a Tarzan mouse. And if you click on Frog in the seal show, he'd steal the crowd's attention from the show too!

By the way, Katie Cadet, do you think Little Critter's reactions at the movie theaters are funny? I can imagine him watching a film in a costume & eating popcorn & soda, & then something will make him throw his food & flee out of the theater! That might be funny.

In recent times, Tyrannosaurus is a coelurosaur. Really inaccurate as what Mrs.Critter said, that T.rex is a carnosaur, which carnosaurs were consisted of Allosaurus, and Carcharodontosaurus for example. Carnivorous dinosaurs were called theropods.

Those games were my childhood. All the click spots were so entertaining and the sequel where you're just playing as the lion or whatever was super fun.
