I'm so glad Mystic is playing this game. She is who got me into Friends of Mineral Town which playing that game helped me learn how to play SDV. Now Stardew is my ultimate favorite.

I remember playing Friends of Mineral Town on the GBA and just started getting all the rocks and weeds and stuff out of the area where you grow crops BEFORE actually starting to grow any! XD Also I legit thought that the mayor just forgot to give me my tools

The only game that I've seen so far with no gender is Pumpki n Days. It is such a unique and fun farming game, with a lot more crops and where you can actually farm your animal for meat. I would check the game out. It seems fun.

- The customization in this game is already doing a good job of selling me on whether or not to buy it after the dialogue patch. That hair was AMAZING. - While I get non-binary/no gender defining options being nice, since children are a common theme in these games, knowing what gender your character is makes it easier for the devs to run specific cutscenes, especially now that they're allowing same sex marriage. Depending on who you marry, the game is going to need to decide what the child cutscenes will look like based on the gender of the player and their spouse. I don't doubt we'll see something more accommodating in the future however as Japan makes more strides for inclusion. (They just ruled that not allowing same sex marriage was unconstitutional very recently, so here's hoping soon!) 15:00 - Like they'd let you possibly screw anything up by moving things around lol 16:15 - RF4: "Am I a joke to you?" 25:00 - That kid is totally just sleeping lol 33:00 - It actually does look like marriage candidates are listed at the top. Not finished the video yet, but so far my favorite quote is: "Oh so you do have to choose your gender. I was hoping it would let you kind of... exist."

I think the reason they, SoS PoOT and other games, ask the gender is so that the game will know what pronouns to use during playing. Otherwise, the game will keep using the character name and "you" when referring to the player. Maybe add the "they" pronouns, I'm not sure what it is called, in the game so players will have 3 choices instead of the usual 2?

I wish this would come to xbox. I cant get a switch yet. 😕

Did she just say this is like Animal Crossing? This came first before Animal Crossing and it used to be called Harvest Moon. Friends of Mineral Town is much better.
