*Video Notes* So you may have noticed that the on screen keyboard was not working here, I am in touch with the developer to see what might be happening. Also the other issues I ran into are being addressed by Soundpaint and should roll out in the next update. Thanks as always for your support and understanding.

Sometimes YT makes you some recommendations and you don't even why. And sometimes you land on this kind of channel and discover an amazing voice! Thanks YT and thanks Simeon!

So happy you reviewed the 1928 Steinway - I've been looking for almost a year for a piano sound suitable for finishing a rather melancholic suite I've been working on and after trying several others had all but given up. Nothing seemed quite right until I heard this. To my ears it sounds so beautiful. For a free instrument it's so versatile and I'm confident that not only will it allow me to finish my project in the way I want, it will also inspire new projects. Thank you Simeon!

It is my pleasure. It will be very interesting to watch Soundpaint develop over time. Be sure to check out the “Free” Free Angels title that was added. It has some interesting sound potential. Thanks so much for watching.

Goodness, Simeon, you play this so beautifully! I feel all the poignant, melancholic joy of autumnal romance. I love the sound of old strings.

Thanks my friend. Having that storm right under the modwheel was so interesting. It gives us a small look into what might be possible when using multiple zones, morphing and dynamic mixing.

Grateful for the free piano! So thankful for this channel. I forgot to check on this earlier, but I am now the happy owner of another piano. Works great with effect plugins like the free Valhalla Super Massive!

Beautiful musical passage from 2:22 to 3:44...so lovely! Also your other examples are so melodic. BTW, the Steinway sounds heavenly, and the jazz guitar is astonishing.

Thank you so much. I think Soundpaint is off to a very interesting start and I am very excited to see where things are headed. When I first played the guitar it was like “whoa!”, I really enjoy playing it. I appreciate the kind support and hope to see you on other comments or livestreams, Joyfully 🎹

The face that you made when the crash occurred was just phenomenal 😂 The crash took me so by surprise, I almost jumped out of my seat!

🤯 You and me both. It was like "are you kidding me, now, LIVE!!!!", I just try and roll with things and stay focused. As long as the entire computer did not melt down, I was happy. There is nothing like beta testing while doing a livestream. I guess like your channel name, it was a little "unexpected". Thanks for your continued kind support, much appreciated!

Sometimes I miss the days when grand pianos didn't crash. But then I couldn't fit one into my living room though....

Yes, that is the beauty of the real thing, however I have had a string of two snap and fly out a few times, especially those on the low end. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks so much for watching.

Great sounds, great performance. What was the cause of the crash, something to do with Soundpaint?
@PraiseTracks
@PraiseTracks 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, nothing like having a full blown crash during a livestream. It seems there was a memory leak issue with Soundpaint that this uncovered. I reported it with more info and an update is coming to address this and a few other things that were discovered. Thanks so much for the kind support and encouragement.

Hey Everyone! Is it just me or is some of the keys like the f and f# (in the middle) weird. It sometimes plays an octave higher than played. Not always but sometimes. Does that happen to you guys? Cannot understand what is going on :) thx

Just tried this with a few of the Rhodes patches and could not duplicate what you are hearing. I thought it might be velocity related so I took the velocity from 0 to 127 while playing the same notes over again and could not hear anything out of the ordinary. Is this happening on all of the patches you have played or only on a particular one? Also, if you had a MIDI file or audio that captures the behavior it would give others something they might could test to see if they can reproduce it. Thanks for watching.

@@PraiseTracks Hey. Restarting my pc somehow fixed the problem. I have been trying to find out what exactly happened myself. It was only f2 and f#2 that i noticed was doing it. Everything seems to works now tho. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will come back if i know what caused it :) Thx for your reply!

😂Oh yes, nothing like having those things happen, and this was live! This was an early beta build is Soundpaint and I can say that I am glad that they have addressed this and many other issues that popped up. Thanks for watching and coming along for a fun and sometimes bumpy ride. Joyfully!🎹

Thanks Simeon for the video. I have downloaded and installed it and am not too happy with the free piano.... it seems too artificial and processed to my taste at all presets. But the price is right 👍

My pleasure. Yes, this is like a newborn who is trying to take its first steps, sometimes the going is a little rough at first and that is what I expect with Soundpaint in the early stages. I am looking forward to watching Soundpaint mature over time.

Surprised you found it sounds artificial. This Steinway has a lot of natural sounding character and resonance that comes through, at least to my ears, but to each their own.

That is amazing. I know some of the vocals are heavily processed, it is fascinating to hear all that is going on and to imagine incorporating them into an instrument. Thank you so much for watching, listening, and interpreting, Wow!
