With Sinnoh being the popular topic of discussion right now with the upcoming release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends Arceus, I thought it would be a good time to share my rankings of EVERY Sinnoh Pokemon! I’ll be sharing my opinions on every Pokemon introduced in the Sinnoh region, from the least favorite, all the way to my absolute favorite from the generation. I hope you enjoy!

Empoleon being on top was a nice surprise. I've always liked the design but I've heard so many people say they hate it and that it's ugly. Happy to hear there are others who enjoy the design as much as I do.

My big grievance with Cherrim, apart from the default being the “night” form, there’s no fundamental difference between the two. Like if the covered form was more defensive with less speed and the sunshine form had higher special attack and speed, I’d get that. But the difference is just cosmetic.

I concur with all of those, and then with the fact that it's one of the few grass typed pokemon to not be a three stage line in the first 4 gens. Always imagined it'd have gotten a Flying Sakura Tree-like evolution [back then, whilst playing the game blind]. It just feels so... incomplete.

Some of my favorite Sinnoh mons include Croagunk, Carnivine, Skuntank, Drapion, Bidoof and Bibarel, Spiritomb, Purugly, Ambipom, Sandy Cloak Wormadam, Kricketune, and Lickilicky.

I love how Pokemon fans have so many different opinions! I never liked the Sinnoh evolutions of previous gens, because I would rather have there be more original Sinnoh Pokemon. I feel like the art style of some of the Sinnoh evolutions is just too far off from the original Pokemon. I feel like the Roselia line is a prime example! Budew and Rosarade fit perfectly together, but suddenly Roselia seems out of place. But you did give me more of an appreciation for the evolutions in general!

I really liked Thai video concept!! Definitely thing we should have more evolutions of current Pokémon and that’s what makes Sinnoh really memorable for a lot of people! So glad Legends is giving us more of that. Also the Friday Drifloon caught me by surprise as a kid and made me so happy 😭❤️

Hearing your opinion on Palkia totally reminds myself about how my parents had bought cases for both Diamond & Pearl to gift my younger brother & myself on Christmas during 2007 where we both very much enjoyed the beginning of our games until realising that both cards were for Diamond even though 1 of them had come within the Palkia-design print for the box + the pink sticker on the NDS card so thanks for reminding myself 🤩

I started in Gen 1 and by the time Gen 3 came around I was in high school so I was falling out of love with the series. That all changed when I saw online that Gen 4 was coming out and that the water starter was a Water/Steel penguin. Empoleon singlehandedly brought me back into Pokémon because it was such a cool Pokémon and the typing absolutely blew my mind. My very first Pokémon was Blastoise so I had an affinity with bulky water types and Empoleon was basically the apex bulky water type with the most resistances of nearly any Pokémon.

Roserade is my third favorite Pokémon after Swampert and Gardevoir. I used a Roselia on my First ever team and I always love how cute it is. Also Sailor Moon’s Tuxedo Mask made love this Pokémon even more since the whole Masquerade super hero makes its design a bit cooler. Especially now since Joker (persona 5) brought back the how cool Masquerade are.

At one point Ambipom was actually my favourite pokemon, I really like it haha. I think Togekiss has a pretty weak design when compared to Togetic, so was hoping to hear more of an argument for why you think that kiss has a good design

I love this video also I love Cresselia and I love Darkrai too much more than Cresselia but it doesn't make me like Cresselia any less. Also I love the Piplup line too, Piplup is my favorite from the three and my favorite starter from Sinnoh and I love Chimchar and Infernape because of Ash's Infernape and I love Lucario and Riolu it's so cute. I also love Roselia and Roserade. I love Pachirisu too it's so cute. I also love the Finnon line because of the wings.

My top 3 favorite sinnoh pokemon growing up was torterra cuz I love giant pokemon and that it's name was a mixture of tortoise and terra which is short for territory and also I loved togekiss cuz I too thought Togepi needed a final evolution. And I love Lucario cuz he was cool and plus he looks like the Egyptian god Anubis.

I was lucky enough to get Pokémon Pearl with previous owners data left in the game containing a Manaphy though at some point after Pokémon Bank was released I left both my Manaphy and my first starter Pokémon in its final form (That was from Sinnoh) forget I had left them in Pokémon Bank and ended up deleting them.

My problem with the Sinnoh Pokemon is that aside from the new evolutions there are barely any Pokemon which really stand out. That was one of the reasons why the pre league Sinnoh-Dex was so terrible.

I completely agree with you, I have fond memories of my time playing Platinum but going through the dex again really shows how weak the Sinnoh dex is compared to others. The new Pokemon are great but it has way too many evolutions for older Pokemon. I prefer going through a Pokemon game without any relation to older Pokemon, it just takes away my excitement.

9:56 I don't know why, but I remember never liking Staravia. I thought its design was ugly and I didn't like its cry, but keep in mind this was 2008 me. I STILL much prefer its pre-evolution and evolution, but I don't hate it as much.

Magmortar being ranked #60 is surprising. I expected much lower because Delphox is a Pokemon Hoops seems to despise. Magmortar is basically Sinnonian Delphox (Recepetion, typing, stats, and movepool are similar).

I love your content, but I have to politely disagree with you on Staraptor. It's my favorite regional bird and flying type. I used one on my original Platinum team and it was the only one of my Pokemon to reach level 100. It easily became my strongest after Gardenia and it led me to victory almost every time.

Skuntank shoots poison from the tip of its tail. No farts. So take it back and put it at the top of the list where it should be!! Also the tail is like a tank gun so it fits well with the name and design

Favorite Sinnoh Pokémon is Electivire. Hands down, bar none.

Electivire is great, it’s true. I especially like the fact that its tails are based on exposed live-wires, which I don’t think any other Electric type has ever done before or since.
