To go there one must hold no malice towards one's enemies (but feel sad for their ignorance & horrible end in burning Hell). Malice is like stomach acid, It will only eat you. Yesterday, our beloved cat of 15 years had to be put to sleep. Needless to say, it was the hardest thing we have ever had to do as a family - to look into my boy's eyes and say goodbye for the very last time. He was our absolute world. I cannot stop crying, he was my best friend and companion throughout all my highs and lows. I needed to hear something to soothe my heart. Laa ilaha illa anta, subhanak, innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen.

I feel you we buried our 20 year old cat in 2018 I had it since I was a teenager leaving at my parents house. It was hard to let her go it’s been 3 years and I’m still sad when I think of her. Time will heal like it always does but for now take your time to mourn your beloved pet and in sha Allah we will all meet in jannah.

MASHLLAH, I feel for. you a mom for 5 cats here and am single, my one of it got hit few days ago, alhdmllh he is fine. be strong in sha Allah in heaven you will meet him or her again amine, so be happy and look forward for that, get new cat and may Allah make it easy for you and family main

There can be no difficulty to the Prophet in what Allah has indicated to him as a duty. It was the practice (approved) of Allah amongst those of old that have passed away. And the command of Allah is a decree determined.(QS Al Ahzab: 38) On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear.(QS Al Baqarah: 286) He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?".(QS Al Hijr: 56)

I’ve been around dying people who aren’t Muslim not Christian. They believe not in any religion. But they died with calmness, tranquility, smiling, with no fear at all. What could explain that? ZazakAllah’khairan…

This is a good question to ask our scholars. In addition to our beliefs and acts of worship, “character” will also be weighed in the hereafter. Abu Darda reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Nothing is heavier upon the scale of a believer on the Day of Resurrection than his good character. Verily, Allah hates the vulgar and obscene.” Someone can be religious but at the same time treats his/her neighbour badly, etc. It doesn’t make sense right? Sheikh Omar in one of his talks, he says, we don’t want to be muflis in the hereafter because of our bad character. In another hadith, Rasulullah ﷺ said: “The muflis in my Ummah is the one who comes on the Day of Judgement with prayer, fasting and zakat. He comes but has insulted so and so, falsely accused so and so, eaten someone’s wealth, spilt some one’s blood and struck someone. His good deeds are given to them. If his good deeds finish before that which is upon him, is not paid off, the sins of those whom he hurt are transferred into his account. Then he is thrown into the Fire.” I know that the two hadiths I mentioned above are for believers. To me (in my opinion), we do not know what is in their hearts. May be, the people you mentioned, were good people with great characters, enjoyed serving others etc. I am not implying or suggesting anything. This is just my thinking. In the end, Allah is the ultimate judge. May Allah forgive all our sins. Aamiin.

@@MindBodySpirit-MBS Thank you for your reply. Your answer makes a lot of sense and this particular person that made me raise this question is still stuck in my head, he has been serving people because part of his wealth was used on scholarships for students and that’s still ongoing I guess. And from my interactions with him I could tell he’s a great guy character wise, also very kind and generous. But he was an atheist (does not believe God exist). Due to the nature of my job am often around death or dying people. It is not easy, it is very scary.

@@Africa-Liberation-Army the sifats of Allah eg like merciful, Compassionate, carer etc are nothing but those which are manifested in the human being, are shown through a human being, so the compassion he had was one of the virtue sifat of Allah which was being manifested through him, as bestowed on his heart, his heart was being guided by Allahs mercy, now no matter if he was a atheist by outer religious lables, if he believes in some power above him ( nature) khudrat) then he should be mostly considered as one who gave his will to a higher power, he necessarily does not have to say Allah, as it's a name, , peace is giving entirely by Allah, so one who had peace has Allah with him,so when he dies he already knows it's not in his power or in his will, when u accept its not in ur will, means u have submitted ur will to a higher command, whome we call as Allah, dying peaceful is the best gift u can ask for, coz u trust in something that u do not know ( ghaib) which is again a sign of Muslim, not the label muslim
