Karen Elizabeth if they were dogs i think the episode would give a flimsy excuse why lol,then again they do learn the dog is the main villain because it's original owner died and the dog implemented the power of death to turn its weaknesses into its greatest strength as it slowly created is own bone collection with the remains of its fallen enemies

Jack Black was like "I want to play R.L. Stein, but I want to play him as if he was also a cokehead.". Random but I'm still mad that sometimes actors from precious episodes showed up to play a different character, but they only had Brendan Fletcher on the show once. He grew up to be the only reason that there's a small handful of Uwe Boll films that don't completely suck.

What I don't get is, the zombies can clearly feed on animals, otherwise they wouldn't have eaten the dog and turned it into one of them, so why do they bother luring feeding on families that move in and risk overpopulation? Why don't they just eat animals and then lock up the zombiefied versions of said animals until they die of hunger? I mean I assume the zombies are capable of starving to death

I actually watched this a couple months back. Also, something I hadn't thought about - isn't feeding on the people moving in at best a temporary solution? The people they feed on also become Zombies, meaning more mouths to feed. Surely if they kept this up, occasional small families wouldn't be enough to sustain everyone.

As a kid I always read the summaries on the back of the Goosebumps books, but was always too scared to read the books, and it's nice to know I wasn't missing out, since even though these stories look totally ridiculous as an adult I would have been completely freaked out as a kid.
@shiro5684
@shiro5684 7 жыл бұрын
Sofia Erendira You missed out, reading and experiencing something as a kid is a gift, like truly being scared of light hearted spooky stuff before you find out you shouldn't be scared because life is the truly scary thing that will eat you alive. You couldve read the entire book in a few hours. Now it's a distant memory of a time line fracture caused by "what if's". You passed life by when you passed up the book.

I don't feel like you missed out. They were really popular when I was growing up and I was a easily scared kid, but Goosebumps _disappointed_ me. "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" was legitimately scary.

@TheSeptet

The plot of that one was that the kid thought that the old mysterious sunscreen he found was making him grow hair, but the twist was that he was *ACTUALLY* a dog who had been turned into a kid so that his... infertile(?) parents could have a kid, but whatever did it was failing and he was turning *back*. And it ended with the reveal that OMG!!! The cat is a kid now!

This is what I always hated about Goosebumps compared to Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, In Goosebumps they always ended badly for the main characters in some way, no matter what. While it was minimal here, others featured endings where the monster is implied to still be alive or the main character is cursed for eternity, crap like that. With Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Any ending was possible, it made it so much more enjoyable.

Some moments made me laugh. I'd love to see you do this again, but with a couple suggestions: 1. Either having the audio from the VHS louder, or the subtitles from it would help. It's hard to know what you're commenting on. And even on MTS3K, if you can't hear the audio of the original, you can't follow the story, which is surprisingly important, and we lose the context you have. 2.Watching it a couple times first, then riffing on it, although maybe it wouldn't have the spontaneity, and wouldn't be as fun for you or viewers. 3. If you can't think of a joke for a scene, if you know trivia about it, that could be an interesting way to add intrigue, and break things up. Hayden Christensen and Ryan Gosling got their starts on it. 4. No more Brat Jail, please...no more.
